Two Front War

Being on the new frontier is always exciting. However wars are tragic. In StarTrek: New Frontier: The Two Front War by John J. Ordover and Peter David which is 152 pages long was began on Sunday January 9, 2014. I finished the book on Thursday July 8, 2014.

The Excalibur was fighting an unknown vassal.  This was its maiden voyage. The ship took on Refugees and was fighting with their oppressors. The Alien sector is at the mercy of scavengers. They needed someone from the cargo ship, which was besides the Excalibur to vouch for their good name and show they truly were on a mission of good will, to the other vessel.

The Excalibur encountered an alien vessel and communicated they would contact them in three minutes, however the Alien Vessel didn't respond. The channel opened and they said they were communicating with there lead ship. The Aliens were peaceful and never had war.

They were a scavenger race.

Part 2

Si Cwan

Zoran was going to lie to Excalubur about their status, but was advised against it by Rojam. The Excalibur destroyed the Marquand and the passengers were all going to the emergency pods. They were going to flush the enemy out. They believed they were on board. Kebron always thinks there is a problem, he says it saves time and energy and lives. They were being fired on by a Starfleet vessel. The runabout spiraled out of control. 

Ci Swan had a huge gash on her head. The Marqui ship was hit by phaser fire and destroyed. Si Cwan was dead. She was the only one on board. The others were on a station.

Burgoyne was duel gendered. Burgoyne was attracted to Seler. They met Tholians. The Tholians were going to kill them when they got them. Cwan was almost hit by a plasma burst gun, his jacket was though. Dackow was chasing Cwan. Ci Swan followed Keborn after her altercation with Dackow.

Zoran wanted ten minutes to hunt Ci Swan, then he gave Dakow permission to blow it up. Dr. Selar asked Soleta to come to sickbay, but neither her nor the captain knew why. The away team found a party that greeted them. This place reminded them to a Borg cube, however it was less organized.

This place was like a warehouse of all assimilated technology throughout the galaxy. 

Soleta and Selar were in sickbay. Then relocated to the doctors baron quarters. Dr. Soleta asked Selor to grant her Succor. Soleta released Selor from her promise. Selors mom discovered a crashed Romulan vassal and wound up bearing his child. Her father became a smuggler.

Soleta was a product of rape. Soletas mother's dying wish was that she return to Starfleet. Soleta met Voltok during the meld, but never met him in real life. 

Zorbon found a bomb but refused to disarm it, because he swore he would not get involved in the war. Cwan released him from that promise and Zorbon defused the bomb. Zorbon couldn't defuse it and the ship blew up. Hufmin asked Calhun for there technology in exchange of the Refugees Calhun brought. Laheera killed Hufmin because of that. They will kill the refugees once an hour until they cooperate. Calhoon ended by promising to blow up the planet once they were done killing the refugees.

ST: TOS: The Lost Years is by J.M. Dillard. I began Thursday August 16, 2018.

I completed it on January 21, 2019.

Zukal, high priest of Vulcan, was dying.

The Enterprise was retuning home--Sulu would receive a promotion--then captaincy. Kirk sponsored Spock's promotion. Spock got asked to teach at the Academy as well. Kirk didn't know why he hadn't received orders yet. He was promised the Victorious. But then they were rescinded. Kirk is being asked to join a Starfleet Diplomatic last resort team.

"Starfleet is expanding to rapidly. There's been too much emphasis on soliciting new members and not enough attention paid to those experiencing internal difficulties. Starfleet doesn't want to talk about Federation members who are disgruntled and want out--but that's what I'm talking about. A very special diplomatic task force....a diplomatic last resort." ST: The Lost Years P. 81

Spock resigned from StarFleet and accepted a teaching position on Vulcan. McCoy was talking to Nogura about how he didn't believe they made a right decision in promoting Kirk.

Spock gave Uhura a Vulcan harp.

Uhura awoke drugged in a prison.

Seker, Spock's oldest friend refused to take leave from Spock. He simply said he was busy and to come back that night. Taking leave was a time honored tradition between two Vulcans that wrapped up any loose ends in their acquaintance. McCoy's girlfriend Gynndellin saw his and Spock's death in a terot reading. She was immensely concerned. Spock said Keridwen was "an esper-blind" someone who could telepathically shut people out. McCoy awoke and found himself taken prisoner on a scout ship, by a Romulan spy, Zakal.

"Religion was a tool created by the state to control the simple minded. Only fools believed in anything higher than themselves. Religion was to be tolerated but never taken to seriously." ST: The Lost Years PP. 256-257

Uhura and Serek were captured by the Djani and given food. Uhura was thankful she was captured with a Vulcan Ambassador. The Djani were talking about putting them to death. Serek misunderstood them and they were spared. McCoy was taken hostage by Sekar on a scout ship.

Zakel of Shanai Kahr- had powers to kill his enemies with thought, this started the Vulcan/Romulan divide. McCoy awoke to find he was abandoned on the scout. A Tellerite took the scout from McCoy abandoning him

On Arcturan each building was veiled by its own force field. McCoy met three women who helped him get a massage to Starfleet. McCoy got help from Ziza and Rrk to get a comm signal. Ziza transformed into Zakel and cut the communication .

"Dijanai are extremely religious--which makes them very difficult to deal with-and apparently they believe the only way to bargain is in person their religion scorns technology; like our Amish, they believe their God wants them to keep it simple." ST Lost Years P .314

"Unrestrained mercy leads to weakness and allows evil to flourish." ST Lost Years P. 334

Kirk was meeting with a Dijanai, beamed out to a Romulan outpost and communication was lost. Spock, Kerdiwin, and T'Sai were rescuing McCoy.

Kirk was kidnapped by the same people that kidnapped Uhura. Nogura was in contact with Jim. They were rescuing Uhura and Serek.

Jim was going to try to finish negotiations. 

Jim found Kels quarters and was going to talk to him. Kel put Kirk in contact with The Djanni Circle of Elders, to discuss peace between the Federation and the Djanni. McCoy and Zekar were imprisoned by the Romulans. The dying T'sal gave her katra to Dwen to help her get on the Romulan ship and acheive the mission.

"Once your mind is joined to that of the Ancient One, the Other, the possibility exists that you will never be able to separate them from each other...and your minds will be locked together so long as your bodies live. Mind-meld has never been attempted with one who is an esper-blind, because of the danger involved. I cannot be sure of the outcome." ST The Lost Years p. 401

Dwen died on the Klingon Bird of Prey. McCoy felt guilty. Spock left McCoy.

Startrek Voyager: The Eternal Tide

I began this novel on Sunday April 16, 2016. I competed it on Friday June 9, 2016. It had 388 pages. "What am I now that I was then? May memories restore again and again, the smallest color of the smallest day: time is the school in which we learn, time is the fire in which we burn." Delmore Schwartz Eden and Chakotay had some friction due to the fact that StarFleet chose her to captain Voyager Once she assumed command she gave it back to Chakotay. Chakotay's sister was in disagreement with him about his service in StarFleet and she was dismayed about Janeway's death. They're on their way to New Talex for a party hosted by Neelix. Home-free was the shuttle B'lanna built. Eden was raised by unknown uncles who had mysterious Starfleet records. She was born on a planet outside Federation space, the only survivor of her species "Having the power to do something butdens us with ultimate and frightening responsibilities." "Just because we can do a thing doesn't mean we should." Startrek Voyager: The Eternal Tide Amanda Q was upset that time travel took so long. "A small black box known as a prism, when focused by a Q, it had the adility to bend time in such a way as to allow one to witness the events of any timeline." Startrek Voyager: The Eternal Tide Janeway's death became fixed when she went back to rescue Voyager "As ever it seemed nature followed certain paths, even across vast distances." Startrek Voyager: The Eternal Tide Amanda went on a ship and saw a senile old man talking to himself. Amanda was born of two Q parents who left the Continuum to become human "But there is a moment in every sentient beings existence, between life and its end, when they remain intact but are no longer bound by the rules of normal space and time." Startrek Voyager: The Eternal Tide "You know, as I do, that death is merely a transitional state. The energy of a lifeforce cannot be destroyed, only released into the universe, unhindered by physical form." Kes: Startrek Voyager: The Eternal Tide "You have to intervene in any matter/energy transformation process you want to question. I'm sure that you also know, so do I, that is a risky proposition that can produce significant disruptions to the wider tapestry of time and space." Startrek Voyager: The Eternal Tide Kes agreed to help get Janeway back if she could. Seven had an outer-body experience, where she saw someone ask for Voyagers aid. Eden goes down to a planet without telling anyone, and they have to save her. The Doctor and Cambridge go down to retrieve Eden. Eden had been at a burial site and was used as a conduit for the dead which freaked her out "The entire cosmos, every atom that exists, is now visible to you. Allow yourself to see them for what they are, and soon enough you will find those that once belonged to you." Startrek Voyager: The Eternal Tide "You were created of love and light. You are more powerful in your perfect form then any that was formed before you. See yourself as you ought to be not as you become." Startrek Voyager: The Eternal Tide Kes helped Janeway become human again and greeted her as she awoke "History has taught us that no society built on exploitation of individuals can long endure." Startrek Voyager: The Eternal Tide "Some things were so unknowable, no fears could do them justice." Startrek Voyager: The Eternal Tide "Love always came with risks, but they were worth taking." Startrek Voyager: The Eternal Tide The anomaly caused the ships to be trapped between two realities. Each ship was getting destroyed. "With so many fascinating topics, we've still missed one of the most significant." Startrek Voyager: The Eternal Tide "For two people responsible for so many lives, love is too much to risk." Startrek Voyager: The Eternal Tide Janeway told Chakotay, 7, Tom, Kim and B'Lannna about her rebirth and they were all thrilled and shocked to see her They agreed to keep her resurrection under wraps until the crisis was averted "You believe that there is some conscious force ordering events such that regardless of our actions, across all timeliness, Voyager or perhaps just you, Admiral, are fated to confront this anomaly at this precise moment." Startrek Voyager: The Eternal Tide "We form with one another, we create ties, and we share experiences that bind us, but there are precious few relationships that go deep enough to allow us to truly be known by one another." Startrek Voyager: The Eternal Tide Voyager connected with Jobin on the Quirnel. The anomaly is a living black hole eating the universe. Asfarah Eden is a representation of all the multi-verse in human form. In order to destroy the Omega Continuum, the Q-Continuum needs to be destroyed. Q went to Earth to get Icheb, who was in his last year of the academy. Eden discovered she had the powers to kill Q and the Q-Continuum. Q's going to help them get rid of the Omega Continuum. They chose Chakotay to pilot the shuttle into the Omega Continuum. Chakotay went inside Omega. He failed to close it, it expanded rapidly. "We don't accept the unacceptable. We don't give up, even when it seems all hope has been lost. We fight with our last ounce of strength to resist the tide, never knowing when we will finally overcome, but believing in the end that it is possible." Startrek Voyager: The Eternal Tide The entire Q Continuum had appeared to help Janeway and Voyager against Omega Icheb appeared in a busy corridor on Voyager Q was his guide Q's son saved Janeway from Eden "It's not everyone who gets to save their race along with the entire multi-verse." Startrek Voyager: The Eternal Tide Q brought Chakotay back "There are days when you get to do the saving, and there are days when you are the one being saved. To run away now, to let grief consume you, to waste the chance they gave us --now that would be wrong." Startrek Voyager: The Eternal Tide Paris and Torres were going to have another child. "Coming that close to death often inspires people to immediately reach for whatever makes them feel most alive." Startrek Voyager: The Eternal Tide "The problem with focusing on the whole board is that it forces you to draw lines that don't truly exist." The Next Generation: Silent Weapons Data was traveling under the name Danial Soong. Andoria seceded from the Federation. Crusher dropped Rene off at daycare. "Great victories, by definition, entail great risks, and the adventure of ours is no different. If we want to take the future's reins, we'll need to make me terrible sacrifices. Above all, each of our pawns must know as little as possible about the grand illusion we're about to conjure." Picard talked with Beverly about leaving the Enterprise for Rene's sake, and was all for it which surprised Beverly. "Grudges are nothing but dead weight." The Chief of Security, of the USS Atlas, Ortel, got arrested for disorderly conduct an adult entertainment center The Atlas just found Soong type energy on the planet Data was captured by Starfleet Intelligence but sent a message out to LaForge right before he was taken into custody Data's in custody on Orion for the presumed death of Commander Tohm "People don't rebel when they're happy and treated fairly." The Next Generation: Silent Weapons Picard's talking to Brocco, the president of StarFleet about Data. "There is nothing but the now, and you either ruled the now or it ruled you." The Next Generation: Silent Weapons LaForge and Smorhova got tape to clear Data of killing Tohm. Kol Pollus, a custodian at the Orion bank would help LaForge and Smorhova get information about Data. Worf and Dygon are at a party on Orion. Picard shielded Crusher when a bomb exploded, instead of President Bacco. Evidence of a Soong type droid was at the bombing. Data's being released. National Drive-In Movie Day on June 6th each year commemorates the day the first drive-in theater opened. Richard M. Hollingshead Jr. of Camden, New Jersey created the drive-in theater and he opened the first one on June 6, 1933. At this first drive-in theater, the screen was 40 feet by 50 feet and there were 400 car slots. The advertising slogan used was, “The whole family is welcome, regardless of how noisy the children are.” An Adolphe Meniou film, Wife Beware, was the first film shown. Startrek: The Next Generation Body Electric

Began Sunday November 5, 2015

Wesley heard psychic screams of terror. He witnessed a black hole swallow surrounding stars. Data's searching for Lol. He put Juliena on his ship and sent her to safety

"Training keeps a warrior sharp." Worf

StarFleet offerered Worf command but he refused. Wesley told the Travelers about the destruction to the universe he had just witnessed--chaos ensued. He saw his mentor and asked whats going on. They tried to stop the machines but couldn't. Wesley's gone to try to take the machines on alone. Q sent him to talk with Picard. Akharin, the Immortal, was being held prisoner by the machines. They wanted to learn how to make a positronic matrix. Akharin agreed to save his daughter. 

Data met with a robotic spider on a planet. The robot mistook him for his father. Wesley interupted a monotonous  staff meeting to his mothers relief. Wesley led the crew of the Enterprise to the Machines.

Picard wanted an armada of ships and StarFleet approved it, but Wesley said it will be to strenuous on him to mask an armada of ships verses one.

"In times of danger and combat, soldiers often fight not for their people or their ship, or even their unit, but for their friends and kin who stand beside them." Worf

Wesley was in a universe where he met duplicates of himself and had to fight them for survival.

The Enterprise made it to the machine's core and found Wesley's ship, they were transporting it aboard. They identified the Machine as an ancestor of V'Ger, a probe that was launched in the mid-twentieth century& went through a wormhole &was reprogrammed by AI to destroy life and collect data. Worf and the away team made first contact with Body-Electric. Body-Electric called carbon units not true life forms. Taurik, the Vulcan security officer on the away mission, got Body-Electric give its current directives and task parameters.

Picard and the crew were going to start to communicate with the machines. Data found Akharin. Data was lead from his cell, but before he promised the Immortal he would save Rea, his daughter. 

The Enterprise needs to find Data to talk to the Machine-Electric Body. LaForge asked Data for help, but he couldn't since he was in the Machine Electric. Wesley offered to save Rene and Beverly but Beverly refused. Data got control of Gatt with Nanites. Rhea was asking Data what was next for them after they escaped. Data wants Rhea to help him raise Lol. Data had a choice to let Rhea live or die, or have Alkerin live or die, he chose Alkerin. Data is back aboard the Enterprise. Picard and the crew are glad he is safe. Data is fixing Gatt and then he let him go, because Gatt wasn't in control of his actions while under the control of the Body Electric.

"In the distant future, the expansion of the universe will separate galaxies and eventually even stars, by such and ever growing distances that for an observer in any given system the rest of the cosmos will look dark and completely empty. Even now there are parts of our universe beyond our view. This limit of the observable universe is the cosmic light horizon."

A Swiftly Tilting Planet

I began this book on Thursday November 15, 2019 and finished Wednesday January 15, 2020. It was by Madeleine L'Engle. It contained 197pp. It is the third story in the Wrinkle in Time trilogy. This book was written in 1978.

Meg and Calvin got married. Meg was preparing a Thanksgiving dinner for the Twins, Sandy and Dennys. Dennys had become a doctor. Meg was pregnant.

"Charles Wallace and his father were deep in concentration, bent over the model they were building of  tesseract: the square squared, and squared again: a construction of the dimension of time. It was a beautiful and creation of steel wires and ball bearings and Lucite,  parts of it revolving, parts of it swinging like pendulums."

I started reading Dark Matter Wednesday June 26, 2019 and finished reading it on July 17, 2019. It has 340 pages. It was by Blake Crouch. He is a bestselling novelist and screenwriter. He is the co-creator of Good Behavior on TNT based on his Letty Dobesh novels. His novels have been translated into more than thirty languages and have sold over a million copies. Blake lives in Colorado with his family.

After talking with Ryan about the future he could've had Jason got hit by a car but survived. Which brings into question is this whole story of a comatose victim or did it actually occur?

Jason is taking hostage and forced to drive somewhere by a masked man. He  tries to text his wife for help but the abductor catches him. The abductor forces Jason to strip when he vacates his car.

There is no proof for this either way. When you die, your body loses all feeling, however you may still feel in thought essence.

Jason escapes, and runs, but has no clue where he is running. He arrives at a beach of Lake Michigan. He gets in a cab and finally goes home. Jason is dropped off at a house very similar to his house but not his own. Jason calls Daniala's cellphone number, a man answers and tells him not to call anymore. Lighton catches up with Jason.

This is usually the case, but it defies all logic. Logic is not always truth, however truth is logically sound.

Jason goes to the ER a few blocks away. He feels like he's being hollowed out the morning after. The doctor calls Jason's brother Michael.

This story is the second in the series of A Wrinkle in Time. It is by Madeleine L'Engle. I began it October 22, 2019. I completed it on November 14, 2019. This story had 102 pages.

There were dragons in the garden.

Charles Wallace could read his sister even more than he could read his mother.

Charles Wallace told his kindergarten class about mitochondria and farandolea and how they formed a psycho kinetic bond millions of years ago, and he got yelled at by his teacher for showing off.

Meg went to see Mr. Jenkins, who was the elementary school teacher about Charles Wallace. Meg said to Mr. Jenkins if their wasn't a law about sending your children to school Charles Wallace would probably be home schooled.

"Why do people always mistrust people that are different? Am I really that different?"

Louise the snake saved Meg from a false Mr. Jenkins. Calvin saved Meg from her hallucination. A group of dragons is called a Drive.

Charles Wallace came to Meg as well and they saw the drive of dragons. They all met this dragon. It was huge. It had a wing span of ten feet. They met a man who claimed to be a teacher. He said the beast won't hurt you. The teacher introduced them to Proginoskes, the dragon. It communicated telepathically. The cheribrum thought that humans painted them to resemble baby pigs. 

"Age for a cherubim is immaterial. It's only for time bound creatures that age exists. I am, in cherubim terms, still a child, and that is all you need to know."
