StarTrek Voyager Incident at Arbuk

Outer Space is a dangerous place. This is proved by many shows. In StarTrek Voyager Incident at Arbuk which is by John Gregory Betancourt it is seen again as a dangerous, horrifying place. I  started reading this book on October 28, 2012 and completed it on November 1. This story was 214 pages in length.

Harry sensed an alien presence which had appeared eventually, which was completely foreign: with no eyes, ears, or nose. The ship had to find a way to communicate, it seemed like it was in distress because its star was going to explode.

Neelix forced Fairman to help him when Janeway called him to the bridge.
The aliens were called the Sperians. They were arguable, advantageous, haggling species, no one liked. Fairman burned everything, as Neelix dreaded. He only had an hour to make lunch, because the first shift would be ready for lunch. Tom felt more isolation in the Delta Quadrant than he did in prison.

The aliens had a space city not a station. 1312 died in the alien war so far.
Voyager was hailed to help stop it. Voyager was scanned by them. They don't know if the scan was a weapon or not. The city destroyed itself. They were going to transport a ship that went from the space city.

They beamed the alien to sickbay. The alien was an unknown curiosity to everyone, including the doctor. Torres found a working computer console within the wreckage. Voyager was scanned from the space city. Neelix brought food to the staff meeting.

Fairman, to Chakotay's surprise, was taking care of the galley. Chakotay speculated if they didn't build a weapon because it destroyed a vast percent of their population. Neelix and Torres went through the debris from the alien vessel to look for useable resources. Tuvok was attempting a mind-meld with the alien.

Tuvok's mind Meld was successful. His name was Sozoas. He was an engineer for the Tech Faction. He appreciated logic and order. Tuvok didn't know where he was. Torres found that someone sabotaged Tue ship and was still controlling it.

Voyager was under attack. Paul Fairman signed on with the Maquis for something completely different, and wished he was home. Janeway took Paris's place while he got Chakotay to sick bay. Tuvok awoke from the mindmeld unharmed. He told Janeway the thing was a Warp accelerator, but hadn't worked.

The Sperians attacked themselves. Their society consists of factions that harm others. Torres was on the ship searching for the black box after seeing her crewmates back to Voyager. Fairman was trying to start a black market with a replicater, the finest one ever created.

The alien, Sozoas, awoke. He remembered laying down to die, but now he was alive in sickbay. His species tell everything by air vibrations. Janeway, Tuvok and Sozoas went to the conference room from sickbay. Tuvok was argumentative with both Janeway and the doctor.

They left Tuvok in sickbay. Their was a great personal trait switch to have some scans done for his weird behavior of arguing with the captain and doctor. They were going to communicate with Sozoas's ship. They were going to wait for Tuvok until they started communicating.

Fairman was installing a replicator. Torres obtained the black box. Fairman took the replicator to Harrys quarters and surprised him. Two more Sperians vessals appeared and were getting ready to fire. Voyager was going to power up the tube but not fire it. Neelix had no one eating the breakfasts he made.

The warp core needed to be overhauled. Sozous gave Tom her home coordinates and offered whatever supplies Voyager needed.

They pushed the warp accelerator to a white star to destroy it before they left. They went to the Sperians home world, had trouble getting supplies, but while everyone was at a picnic Neelix put together, he went to get the supplies. He bartered with the replicator which was taken the crew from the mess hall.  Paul said he would trade for the power coils Neelix had given him.
