Peter Pan

Fly away, fly away with Peter Pan. This childhood tale is a century old being first published in 1906, written by JM Barre and copywritten in 2003.

Wendy knew she would get older when she was two and her mother told her. She got a rose thorn pricked in her finger and because of this ran to her mother, who said she wishes Wendy would stay like this forever.

Nana was their dog put in charge of the children: Wendy, Michael and John. Nana even took them to school and waited for them in the basement with all the other nurses. Nana was so good at taking care of the children that she knew when their cough was a sign of  sickness and when it was not. She took John to soccer and carried an umbrella in her mouth in case of rain. She didn't like Mrs. Darlings friends, which was interesting because she usually liked everyone. She also never liked anyone to visit the nursery.

George, the childrens father, was not sure about what effects Nana had on his city career, but other then that he loved her.  Liza was the only other maid that the Darlings had. Their mother also knew Peter Pan from her youth. She saw Peter when she fell asleep in the nursery, she screamed when she woke up and saw Peter Pan. She then thought he was killed from the jump out the window. She saw a shooting star when she was looking for him. Nana got hold of his shadow. Mr. Darling was angry at Nana cause he bumped into her when he was getting ready for the function that night. He was putting Nana in the yard, and she barked the bark that she sensed danger.

The next night Tinkerbell and Peter came into the Darlings bedroom to look for Peters shadow. Tink found his shadow, and Peter not thinking locked her up in the chest. Then he tried sticking it on with soap and couldn't. So he cried and awoke Wendy. She sewed the shadow on and Peter did a little dance and crowed. He knew faires and admitted it which surprised Wendy and she also admired him for that as well. Tinker bell didn't like Wendy at all because she thought Wendy was trying to steal Peter from her.

Nana was very alarmed and brought Liza, the housekeeper, up to the children's room and the children as well as Peter Pan hid behind the curtains. Liza was so angry with Nana, she chained her up in the yard. Nana managed to escape and got Mister and Misses Darling. However the parents got there just as soon as the children left their nursery.

The group was flying for a few days. They got their food from birds mouths. Peter slept in the air floating. There was talk about leaving Peter, however Wendy talked them out of it. Peter would leave them, have an adventure and then return. Tinkerbell fell asleep on Peters shoulder.

Everything was quiet when Peter was not in Neverland. The Indians hunted the Pirates and the Pirates hunted the Lost Boys and the Lost Boys hunted the Indians but all at the same rate so nobody managed to catch anyone or be killed. In the absence of Peter the Lost Boys could speak of their mothers and recollect who they were and the impressions their mothers made on them. After their breif recollection they heard the pirates sing which went like this,
"Yo ho, Yo ho, the pirates life,
The flag o' skull and bones,
A merry hour, a hempen rope,
And hey for Davy Jones." Hook found a chimney of the Lost Boys under a mushroom and was going to make a cake and poison it and then lay it for the Lost Boys, since they had no mother they would eat it. Wendy appeared and Tink said Peter said to shoot her, so the lost boys shot her in the chest.

The Lost Boys were told by Tink to shoot Wendy down, so they did. Then they discovered Wendy was a lady, so they all were sorry. The button, that Peter gave her as a kiss saved her life. Peter wasn't happy with Tink because of this, so he banished her for a week. They all built a house around her to create cover for her. In the boys house there was a tree which they chopped in the morning and by lunch it was used as a table. Wendy had string in her room, which she used as a clothesline to hang the clothes she had washed.

The boys were put to bed at 6:30. They were cued to roll over at a certain time. Tink had curtains around her cage for privacy. She also had a washstand and mirror. She varied the bedspread according to the fruit in season.

Wendy gave tests to the kids, mainly to remember their parents. In these tests she asked: what color their mothers hair was, who was taller your mother or father, etc.

One day as they were resting pirates came and Peter woke them. So they dove in the lagoon instead of running away. They found the pirates captured Tiger Lily and were going to throw her near the rocky shore to kill her. She was cought coming aboard the Jolly Roger, the pirates ship, with a knife in her mouth with the intention of killing Captain Hook. Peter threw his voice to imitate Captain Hook, to let Tiger Lily go. The real Hook was angry because he never gave that order. Peter answered in Hooks voice and called him a codfish. This was really bothersome to Hook.

Peter left camp to get the time, and the only way he could was to find the aligator who swallowed Hooks hand and a clock and listen for a chime to go off. Wendy was sewing the boys pants back for they had holes. When Peter returned she asked what sort of relationship they had, to which he answered she was his mother. She was disappointed by this.

Peter saved Tiger Lily, so the Indians and Lost Boys were friends, however Wendy didn't trust the Indians.

Wendy told a story about her mother, that she kept the nursery window open.  Peter said his parents didn't and his parents had another son to replace him. Michael and John wanted to go home. Wendy promised that they will go in the morning. Peter thought every time he breathed an adult died. The pirates attacked after Wendy's story. Peters cockiness was what angered Hook the most.

Smee found the Indians Tom-tom which was hit when the Induans won a battle, and hit it to con the Lost Boys out of hiding, however the pirate's attacked. All of the Lost Boys, and Wendy were captured. Hook asked for two cabin boys but only Tootles volenteered. Wendy's last words to the boys were that she wished the boys would die like English gentlemen. They all were saved by what they thought was a ticking from the crocodile but was actually Peter with a clock.

Starky was being forced to fight the Lost Boys because he started an unsuccessful mutiny. After the Lost Boys won against Hook, some of the Lost Boys wanted the Jolly Roger to become an honest ship while others wanted to keep it a pirate ship.

Wendy and her brothers brought the six Lost Boys back with them. Peter never stayed, but promised Wendy to return for her every spring for spring cleaning.

Mrs. Darling didn't have a problem with letting the boys stay with them. Mr. Darling was concerned about finances. As soon as the Lost Boys went to school, they missed never land. Their flying power soon left them, which meant they no longer believed.

When Peter left and returned to Never Land he forgot everything.  He came for Wendy only one year and forgot a year and then came back the other year. That was the last time. Wendy grew up and got married. Mr. Darling sold the house to Wendy and she had a daughter named Jane. He took Jane to Neverland. Jane grew up and had a daughter named Margaret.  This went on longer then the book lasted.

Peter Pan took flight in so many ways. It was a good story. It was like the movie in some respects, but had some additions and some deductions. I loved the book. I would give it an A.

Dracula

In Bram Stoker Dracula, which had 380 pages was a fantastic mystery. I started this book on October 11 of this year. I took a brake from reading this book on the 21st of November.

Jonathan Harkins found the German he took in school very useful. He had a difficult time finding Dracula's castle for their were no maps of it. He finally located it on the border of three countries: Transylvania, Moldavia and Bukovina in the Carpathian Mountains.

There were four religion's in Transylvania: The Saxons in the South, the Wallich who were the defendants of the Dacuans, the Magyers in the west and the Szekelys in the North and East.

A dog kept him, Jonathin Harkins,  up the night he got there. In the morning he saw the women looked pretty from a far, however up close you saw theur true weight. When the train arrived at its destination of Brustritz he was directed, by Dracula to the Golden Krone Hotel, which was, to his delight an old fashion hotel. Dracula paid for his room. He asked about Dracula, and was not answered, which he found mysterious.

It was St. Gorges Eve, when all evil spirits were out. The woman who was talking to Harkins did not want him to leave, and she put a crucifix around his neck.

On the train he dined on "Robbers Steak," going to Dracula's castle. The people outside the train car and the conductor were talking about him and putied him for where he was going.

It was autumn, All Hollows Eve,  when Harkins journeyed to Count Dracula's castle. The passenger's of the car offered him gifts and blessings. The carriage traveled in circles at times.  The driver offered him some brandywhich was under his seat, he politely refused. After riding a while, he decided to look at his watch. It was a few minutes before midnight. He heard the howling of wolves and the barking of dogs. As he rode he saw a blue flame over certain parts, and asked Dracula about this, to which he responded, "A blue flame was over an area to which a treasure is concealed."

As Jonathan rang the bell, he wondered what this place was and why he was there. He both rubbed his eyes and pinched himself to make sure he was awake, for the castle was so spooky just like it was a nightmare. Just as he made sure he was awake he heard heavy steps coming from behind the door.

Dracula greeted Jonathan at the door politely. Because it was so late, his servants were not available. Hawkins ate a grand dinner and found that the Count had to be away in the morning. He had a great breakfast and the servants were glad to him. When he awoke, he had a grand breakfast and the servants were glad to see him when he awoke. The tables, clothes and drapes were centuries old, but were upkept in a great matter.  There was not a mirror in the manner for vampires have no reflection. There was no reading materials in his chambers or where he consumed his breakfast, however he found a grand library.  The books were of English materials such as history, law, and geology.

Dracula loves to live in old houses full of character. To him a home cannot be built in a day. It needs time to settle and breathe.

Jonathan felt like a prisoner in the castle. He saw no help, which meant that the Count drove him to the castle. He, was even more curious, of thr blessings and the crucifix and the wild ash that he received before he arrived at the castle. He spoke of history as if he was there. He asked Jonathan about business, which he was facinated by.

Dracula asked Jonathan if he has written Peter or anyone else since he got there to a response of no. Dracula encouraged him to write that he will stay another month. He wrote carefully to Mr. Hawkins, for he supposed the Count would read it, but to his wife Mina he wrote in shorthand so the Count could not understand it. Jonathan wanted to escape the castle, but couldn't because the door was locked.

Later when Jonathan explored the castle he found one room unlocked. The unused room had tons of dust on the furniture. The windows were curtainless. The castle was built on the side of a mountain, which protected it  from the elements. Jonathan kept a journal of his time in the castle. He had fallen asleep just as he finished the entry of the day. He was awakened by three chambermaids.

All three woman had pearly white teeth and skin. They were vampires. They stood as one, and then broke out into laughter. Then the Count showed up and saved him from what the weman were about to do. He forbade the woman from touching him, as well as to look upon him, before he was done with whatever he had planned for Jonathan.  The girls laughed at the Count and taunted him saying he can't love. To which he replied, "Yes I can."

Hawkins sensed something was going in. He felt like a prisoner in the Counts mansion.  He was able to get out of the castle and spent some time in the local town where he was from and caught up with all the gossip.  Then he returned to the castle.

Dracula had spiders. Hawkins didn't like them at all, and wanted him to get rid of them. He ate them, to which Hawkins scolded him. He responded to Hawkins it was life and a strong one at that. He asked Mr. Hawkins for a cat, to which he refused and did not get him one, for fear that he would eat it. He ate the birds he had in secret and raw.

A friend of Mr. Hawkins, Lucy is a sleep walker. He always preys that she doesn't get hurt.

Jonathan went sailing. The weather was not cooperating. It was foggy and rainy. The coast found the boat and guided them to shore. They also found a dead man aboard. The ship found its way to the harbor, despite the storm. The ship was called The Demeter. The Russian Counsel paid all their dues. They took cargo, white sand, as well as Earth. One of the crew went missing. They had rough weather again. The ship was definitely plagued with bad luck, for an unknown reason. They searched immensely for the missing crew member. Another was awoken by a cry, seeing a crew member mysteriously vanish. He was so afraid although to his relief he was found. However there was still fear on the ship, the crewmember at the helm jumped overboard. Jonathan threw a bottle in the sea explaining the situation and what cursed the other seamen to jump overboard.  The journey was finally over.

On land Jonathan went to his home and slept with Lucy his wife. Her sleepwalking didn't let him sleep much. When they both awoke they went to the harbor to see if the boat was all right. The observation for the seaman was plesent,  however it made Lucy very sad and upset.

Jonathan and Lucy and went to town to walk around. Lucy got very tired, so they went home and she went straight to bed. Jonathan thought the Bishops should have a conference to make arranged marriage not so strict and allow husbands to get to know their wives to be. When Jonathan awoke, he could not find Lucy. She sleep walked her way outside. She was out in her nightgown.

Jonathan found her by a church. He was relieved and threw his cloak around her and also gave her his shoes. He covered his feet in mud so it appeared he had shoes, in case he was stopped and saw people, however they did not. Lucy begged him not to tell her mother and only because of her mothers health, did he agree not to. He locked the door and tied the key to his wrist so that another sleep walking adventure would not sleep walk again. When Jonathan awoke her, he found the sleepwalking had benifited her. She looked much more refreshed than he had seen her in weeks. He kept the key tied around his wrists the following nights, which had upset her, however it kept her from sleep walking outside. All he saw when he awoke the following nights was Lucy pointing out the windows.

Lucy was wondering around her room while Jonathan was downstairs. The next morning she arose later than usual. Lucy's wedding was nearing. Her mother was a little upset to lose her, however she would pass soon and kept it secret from Lucy.

Nina, Jonathan wife, was still in high spirits, even though she had vivid nightmares of green eyed animals drowning. She did not know what to make of these nightmares which gave them more power. Lucy's mother went to a hospital. She escaped. Jonathan helped the guards in their search.

Jonathans diary was theropy for him. It was where he could vent and take note of all that happened  to him. It kept him sane. He could go back to previous days and see how much he progressed.

Jonathan had a brain fevor and was hospitalized. He was getting married to Mina, but this had to be postponed. The doctors thought he actually could hurt his love. Her mother was still troubling them, for they had no idea if she could survive. Lucy was ill as well, with an unknown disease. It was very difficult to keep Lucys sickness from her mother now, for Lucy didn't look well at all. However Lucy did not like being the center of attention. She had a very low blood amount and complained of sleepless .

Mina was miserable without Dracula, but since she didn't want to spread she kept it to herself. They all ate alone, for they didn't want to talk about Luckily by mistake. She cut herself on a window making it easy to analyze her blood, however he found no abnormalities in it.

Van Helsing came. He was a professor and a doctor. He helped out with Lucy. Arthur gave her his blood, which drained him even though he was young.

Breakpoint

"Why the Web will implode, search will be obsolete,  and everything else you need to know about technology is in your brain."

'Breakpoints' are everywhere, but not seen. Everything has a 'breakpoint.'This is where and when a substance can no longer grow. This story 'Breakpoint' is by Jeff Stibel, it has 204 pages within 12 chapters. I read it from Thursday November 21, 2013 to Sunday February 23, 2014.

THE CASE OF THE CANNIBLISTIC REINDEER
There were 29 reindeer taken to an Island in 1963. The population jumped to 6000, however the reindeer ended up eating themselves as oppose to y starving to death. Reindeer usually migrate but couldn't because they were on an Island.

We are so obese because we get to much food and don't know what to do with it, so obese. Most of us can't stop eating until the food in front of us is finished. There is no common 'breakpoint' on the human diet. So you have to make one It is extremely hard to stop yourself from eating, so my friend and I have discovered a method that works for us. Instead of the common 'leftovers,' we make 'preovers.' These are done before we eat, so we don't overeat. This works very well for us. It may work for you.

"There is a point when too much knowledge is bad, "information overload." "Even the sturdiest shelf crumbles under the weight of too many books." If you learn a lot you become takes the fun out of learning. You could easily get confused. 'Information overload' makes you so busy with learning about life you don't have time to live your own.

"Growth is not a bad thing, unless it becomes the only thing." Growing is not a difficult thing, but it shouldn't be the only thing an organism is doing in the time it has. It actually cannot be, because none of us live in a bubble, so there are distractions everywhere you look. These distractions help you as much and some hurt.

ANTS
Deborah Gordon studies ants. There are 12,000 different types of ants. They are on every continent except Antarctica. They are even mentioned in The Old Testimant and The Koran.

The flying females leave the hive to start a new hive and mate with males and males die. After that they forage for food and maintain the nest. The queen is the one responsibility is to give birth. They normally live around fifteen to twenty years. When the queen is old it is replaced. Worker ants only live for 1 year. The females are sent off to create new colonies.

Ants are strong but not that intelligent. They have collective contiousness and memory. After mating the male dies and the female loses her wings.

They defend their territories. Forming complex structures they have to defend is a big job. They create meals. Air conditioning for nest pushes warm air out and pulls in fresh air. There are even slave ants. They know nothing else but how to be a slaves. There are more ants then mammals. There total weight exceeds the weight of humans. If they  could organize themselves into a super colony they could be the stongest animal.

Despite ants size they are very good at communicating. Ants communicate through scent. Their bodies are covered with a greasy layer cuticular hydrocarbon-scent covered.
They touch antenna to tell the colony they belong. Through smell they can tell everything from the task they are doing to what they ate. Ants have the greatest sense of smell of any inscect.
They have 400 noses while honeybees only have 200 and fruit fly have 61. The amount of noses ants have probably contributes to social organization. Some inscects mimic sense of smell and invade colony's and eat larvae.

TECHNO-BRAIN
Our brains are pretty sophisticated,  if not the most sophisticated network.
Brains are a mystery that was seen in the last 50 years with MRIs. Neurons communicate chemically like ants and through electrical currents. Human brain grows rapidly. Neurons individually are not intelligent like a single ant, but in groups they are. "As brains shrink as it grows wiser."

Technology is based off nature. We made eye glasses to improve our vision. We made planes copying how birds flew. Soon there are goning to be pumps for hearts. However we have not yet found a way to fix brains that suffered a loss of oxygen as of yet. There is a new way to preserve brain neurons though. We can not bring back memories yet, but through hypnotherapy more memories are being recovered.

No matter how good we think the internet is, it  may seem like most technology that is rewriting our brain. Two technologies that are mostly used are the cell phone and computers.  2.4 billion people surfing the web over the per hour, and over 600 million sites visited. Netflix draws more users now then youtube. Now Facebook has more users than the entire internet had in 2004. Internet surfing grew 70 percent in 2004 as well. Mobile web grew 70 percent in 2012.

The way the internet can support all these users is by a program called tcp (Transmission Control Protocal.) It moniters speed. There are three phases of networks growth, breakpoint and equilibrium. Memories are the RAM of the brain. Websites are the internets memories.

Look at the internet. It started as a network of a few computers. It grew extremely slow, but grew nonetheless. Around 2000, the number of connections exploded to five billion in eight years.
Now more devices than people are connected to it. The network growth is hard to control. People don't know how networks got to the capacity they are  until they exceeded it both in nature and technology. These are some networks I am talking about: speed limits, weights on elevators, everyone individualy has a breakpoint of getting drunk, the maximum oven temperature,  and also the brain sheding neurons. The thing that is scary is if you undershoot you or the item could collapse as well.

MYSPACE
MySpace grew out of control. It grew from 0-100 million users within 3 year. The average user had handful  to 200 friends. Their pages became cluttered with wigits and ads, it became to congested. It grew to fast beyond its breakpoint.

INTERNET
It was created in the 1960s and at first was called called Advanced Reseach Project Agency (ARPA) and was a division of Department of Defence. It kept crashing after a few minutes. Its mission was to preserve our technological superiority. The ethernet was invented in 1973. It is basically a connected internet.

In 1990, the DOD moved its data to a different network gave ARPAnet to the NSF. It doubled in size in 7 months to 50000 networks in 4000 institutions. It was still controlled by the government, however in  1994 it gave up control to individual industry.

Companies created Internet Exchange Points (IXPs) in Californua, New York, Chicogo and Washington DC. In 1995 it was decommissioned and the web was created. It grew to over six million users across all industries by 1995. It double the next year. In 5 years over 300 million people were using it. It broke 36 Grand
within ten years. At last count it had 2.4 billion users or 34 percent of worlds population. Thanks to fiber optic cables under ocean floor we can all communicate worldwide. In 2012 devices exceeded 9 billion over the Earths population and it's predicted to skyrocket to 50 billion or more by 2020.

GROWTH
Everything grows as much as the environments allows. If you put bacteria in a petri dish they will double every minute until the dish is full. In human brain the rapid neurons grow 100 billion per minute. A fetus neurons grow 250,000 billion per minute.

The world is competitive. The best way to make it was thought to consume all resoures before someone else does. Survival depends on it in most cases.

How big is it? It is monstrous and growing. Twenty homes today produce a technological footprint as much as the whole country in 2008. A single hour there is enough traffic that seven million DVD are capable of holding. In 2015  that number is predicted to increase by four times.

Bob Metcalf predicted a technology supernova in 1995. It kept growing because we find new supports for it. Skulls limit our brains growth. The brain consumes so much energy. The evolution creates food to offset limitation. Its efficiency trumps intelligence in wild animals, that's why their brain is so small.

Recent estimates of internet energy consumption is two percent of the national amount of energy. That may not seem to be a lot, but it is.  The energy consumption of Google alone is enough to power 200,000 homes for one year. That is about 260 million watts or a quarter of the output of a large nuclear power plant. The internet is consuming 20 percent of the worlds power as much as a brain consumes of a body's power. If the internet continues to grow at this rate it will take down the energy grid in the near future. This can add to Global Warming, if it doesn’t take down the energy grid. On the good side people have made ways to maximize energy efficiency. People have grouped similar items together, the same as the brain has grouped our sight and smell together to save energy.

The Cerebral Cortex is in charge of reason, consciousness, judgement and decision making.  We have a larger one then most other animals. Elephants have bigger brains but smaller cortical size. The neocortex is the newest part of the brain, being developed 200,000 years ago. This is in charge of our higher brain functions.

The World Wide Web was created in 1983. No websites were on it until 1993. There were twenty million in 2002. In 2012 there were sixty million. A person growing that much would be able to reach the moon at 10. The web has added new words to our vocabulary to describe size. Computers were first measured in megabytes and gigabytes, now petabytes and exabytes. Even those are too small. It will be a couple zettabytes 10 to the 23rd by 2013. It is not limited to space because its software. Its a network like a spiderweb subject to carrying capacity. We view an estimate 2600 pages a day, and 90 sites a month. Our internet addiction is getting worse. Surfing is the major cause. Internet addiction is now a serious problem. The Psychological Association classified it as a disorder. A girl drugged her parents with sleeping pills so she could use the web. It took the place of so many not only multimedia, school and actually communication with people.

"The web is just to big for any current organization scheme to handle." The web has exceeded its breakpoint and without search engines it would be worse. Apps are decreasing web usage. The web has to collapse to find its equilibrium.

Each website is connected to 60 others or more just like each neuron is connected to thousands of others

The co-founder of Myspace, Anderson, got in trouble with the FBI, for hacking into Chase Manhattan Bank and his computer was confiscated

The average Facebook user has 262 friends. In 2012, Facebook had fewer users on computer versions then mobile devices. It turns out with Facebook less stuff (hardware) equals more users. Instagram post to Facebook or use as social network on its own. A Canadian woman lost her Depression Disabilty claim when she posted pics of vacation on Facebook. Divorce lawyers, now, moniter Facebook to find dirt on opposing side. A mom lost custody of child because she was spending to much time playong Farmville on Facebook. Hashtag# and tweet were made up by people not twitter.

Marrisa Meyer simplified Googles homepage. She then went to Yahoo.
Everyone was leaving Yahoo. They were ready to sell to Microsoft.

Apple has been fading. So they fired the CEO Steve Jobs and replaced with managers. Then Steve returned and brought the company back and turned it into the biggest company by returning to fundementals and blossomed

YAHOO
It was begun as Jerry's Guide to the World Wide Web. Two Stanford PHDs
David Filo and Jerry Yang started this. It grew into dynamic,  feature rich, one stop shop. Yahoo was first used for surfing and exploring the site. It wasn't search engine. It was like a tour guide of the web.

If you landed on a planet you wouldn't know what was out there. Without knowledge of what was out there you could not search for anything in particular. Search engines were vastly coming to surface when web grew: Lycos, Excite, Alta Vista, Magellan, Infoseek, Dogpile and Yahoo joined up with Google in 2000.

Search now means filter. Webmasters now create and choose which sites you will be linked to. Every page is linked and id endorced by the webmaster. Yahoo advertises on Google. Now Google has little competition: Blekko with no ads, Wolfrm Alpha- answers factual questions directly then provides links, Duckduckgo-features cute duck uses wickepedia.

Facebook may charge one cent above certain amount of friends to curtail friedships and communication. Three years after Facebook opened to the world and it took five years from its founding it to made money. Google revenue grew from $83-1.5 million in 5 years.

The search revoltion has three fronts..
They incorporate context to personalize results, they have human -machine interface and a perfected search box iliminated, as well as the searching is predicted to decline, turn to specialized application.

"Total personalization in this new world will require total transparency. That is going to be the price. If you want to have total personalization, you have to be totally transparent. "

EQUILIBRIUM
The biological networks fail only if there is a major environmental disaster. Networks grow in quality not quantity after an equilibrium breakpoint. When the size slows communication, intelligence and consciousness speed up. But this has an unidentified leadership. It is amazing that our differences as well as species could be from a neurological firing. We still don't know how many Neurons make a living thing intelligent. Is a network of ants collectively intelligent? Is collective intelligence the same as singular intelligence?

In the 1880s a group of scientist from all across the globe were brought together and asked what they thought New York City would look like in 100 years? They said it would be no more. There was a massive population boom 30,000 to a near 4 million doubling every ten years. Predicting the future is hard and people get ridiculed more then taken seriously. Most people just assume more of the same, discounting inventions that will  play a definate role. A typical home in North America today generates over five percent of what the whole world did during all of 2008 in terms of Internet traffic. Beyond the breakpoint lies new ideas, new technologies, and new opportunities.

Easter Island had many natural resources and peaceful cooperative people. It had beautiful forest, a couple dozen tree species. The population flourished. Then it shrank due to an unknown cause. There is archeological evidence of caniblizm. The trees were slow growing. The populatuion may not have known that. Partly this is because boats couldn't be built or managed and the foodsource of fish couldn't be counted on. Erosion and nutrient depletion prevented farming that would sustain the population. Without forest the farms were unprotected.

The brain is an island itself, surrounded by the skull. It consumes 20 percent of the bodies energy. It is 2 percent of body weight. We have the biggest brain relative to our size.

CARS IN THE MODERN AGE
Cars are connected and transmit 200 megabytes. The cars bought recently have portals to view maintenance.

FARMING
Cows are connected and transmit 200 megabytes. Farms now have chips which send to farmers what nutrients or water is needed and where it is needed.

HOMES
InterRain is a internet based sprinkling system that doesn't water your yard when it rained recently. New refrigerators can tell you when your milk goes bad. Some people have devices that are connected to nano cams which relay information.

HOSPITAL PATIENTS
High risk patients wear sensors that take blood preasure, measure pulses, provide early signs of heart failure. Braingate is a microchip placed in the brain that allows people to communicate telepathically.

NEURONS
The neurons often misfire,  but since there are so many it has no great impact. The internet is slow and ineffective compared to the brain because the brain uses both chemial and electrical support where the Internet only uses electrical sources of power.
Neurons are adaptable. They network and they do whatever needs to be done.

VOICE AND SEARCH
Evi and Siris are equivalent to Android although with Evi she agrees or disagrees, making her being almost human. Lexxe and Swingly non mobile vocal search engines. You can search for anything using a search engine now.

Some example of Cloud Labor Companies are: Elance, oDesk, Guru, Cloud Crowd amd Amazon Mechical Turk. Cloud Labor. They use the Internet for communication. Four common types of crowdfunding. Donation based funding is when President Obama uses this allows people to directly contribute to person or group, connect with others. The second most common type of Cloud based labor is reward based which is commonly used by independent artists and writers. The third type that is most common is lending based where loans and small buisness loaning in developing countries. The fourth most common cloud based labor is equity based. An example of this is the most controversial type however Obama signed it in law.

Seasquirts search for housing according to location, location, location. It filters water for its life time, eating the plankton from the water it filters. It requires little brainpower. It eats his brain after he finds a home, reducing energy demands. You would think it wouldn't work, however it worked for around 500 million years. Survival is the animals ultimate goal.

Humans are almost oppisite. Superior knowledge is our tool. We have lost body mass for our brainpower. Turtles lost spikes to go into shells. Sharks lost bone structure and got more cartilage. Survival is the only goal of the biology.

Now businesses have been making money as well. These two are often at odds. Most networks die in the growth phase
Free apps are 100 times more used then paid apps. How often do you buy an app. First and second phone were useless took 100-200 phones to produce network made it useful and it grew from then.

Now the greatest human barrier is money. Being free during growth definitely increases demand. Free apps are 100 times more likely to be downloaded. Cities are networks, highways usually don't grow because of traffic volume.

However nothing has relieved traffic during rush hour. Stockholm had started charging a tax when driving on severely congested roads-which worked. This removed 20 percent of all traffic.

Money is disrupting growth by maniputing volumes sold. Airlines constantly adjust ticket prices in order to prevent breakpoint of airplane travelers. Small businesses focus on small markets and dominate. The benifit of a stable market is worth the wait.

The government forced AT&T to split into Verizon and AT&T to prevent any further breakpoint. As well as AT&T having a monopoly on phones.

Wordnet, created by George Miller, can put words you type in the search in some kind of context. Miller called words with multiple meanings synsets, synonyms. The program is spreading activation, which acts like neurons,  closely connected words wire and fire.
Wordnet approximately forming context within languages

In 1991, Giscomo Rizzollati, found that  neurons acted unpredictability when he was giving a monkey nuts ammd a student walked into the lab with an ice cream cone the mo key changed its focus. These are called mirror neurons.
They can make predictions. Mirror Neurons cause us to want what we see, if you see someone eating Ice Cream, you want ice cream. Mir.ror Neurons give us the ability to predict.

Netflix created Cinamatch to help consumers find media.  When it was first introduced it only recommended new releases. Netflix offered a 25000 dollar reward for those who could fix it. They never used the proposed idea. For when the prize was given Netflix realized a logical approach would not work.  "Logical information fails to provide perfect recommendation for imperfect humans." The recommendations are a result of both you and others wants and needs. This new technology was so successful YouTube is using it now.

People are divided by language as other factors. The internet has broke down many of these barriers. The web is capable of translating languages as well as ideas 8512 computer languages, 6500 human languages.  Linguistic  have become Indiana Jones's of brain science-the great explorers of the unknown."Language is the foundation of civilization." Speaking in words is uniquely human. After a language is learned the neurons that learned the language are recycled.

Language is still a problem on the Internet. It doesn't recognize all languages, accents or slang. It is extremely difficult to keep up with slang term, because of its seemingly often growth.

Thr Human brain has been shrinking for the last 20000 years. It is physically smaller. If you don't use it, you lose it. It is not that dissimilar from any other muscle in the body. Technology has and0 will allow us to evolve. The more we read the stronger our brains will stay, and the shrinking will not be as much. Books and ebooks, as well as writing keep our ideas flowing. All of the following will soon, if not already be possible: telepathy, telekinesis, clairvoyance, and ESP.

BCI-brain computer interface come from Braingate. The BCI enables disabled people to regain control of their lives. It also connects our minds to computers and Web. Smartcap designed for truckers. When they are to tired an alarm sounds. Emoriv wearable helmet online gaming. IntraXon raised a couple hundred thousand for these products. Beer tap turns on and off with thoughts.

A Zeo is a wearable EEG that measures brain waves when you aren't asleep through monitoring brain waves. The only uneasy part of this is you can only where it for twelve hours. It's a pioneer in measuring sleep and Rapid Eye Movement sleep. However it was taken off the market. It was founded by three students from Brown University.

We better be carful or the internet could replace the human brain. It now can calulate faster then us. Communicate better although humans are directly behind that now. Software now can make predictions. It is very scary to think that some systems on the internet will reach our consciousness level.

The web has grown to 30% of what we can do. A program in Spain is 94% accurate in image recognition to human group with 98%.

As you can see many items have reached their breakpoint and survived and many have died, through various method. I found this book very interesting. Humanity has survived a large amount of breakpoints. It has survived Y2K and 2012 to name the most recent all with backups and luck.

The Forgiveness Formula

Forgiveness is a very important attribute in life. In "The Forgiveness Formula: How to Let Go of Your Pain and Move On with Life," Kathleen Griffin outlines forgiveness in an exceptional way. Kathleen is an author and an award winning BBC broadcasster. She runs forgiveness workshops as well as lectures on forgiveness for those who want to be free of traumatic events.

The "Forgiveness Formula," shows how you can forgive anything that has been done to you.  It gives the outline of how you can make this improvement in your life and always have it in your life.

Withholding forgiveness fills you with anger and injustice. Telling people helps. If you don't know how to express the issues, you will have a difficult time solving them. This is because forgiveness is not straightforward, as it always changes with every situation.

Sometimes we need to withhold forgiveness until we are ready to let the issue go. Forgiveness must be an individual choice. It always has to be honored. If one forgives than all should be done, no lingering negative emotions. One should always try to forgive and not leave soars open in the heart.

Forgiveness is your choice, no one can make it for you. With holding it is valid for as long as it serves you. Those who advocate forgiveness have usually experienced much pain in their lives. Forgive when you are ready to let go. No one can make that choice for you.

How far does anger extend? That questions leads to the way that you forgive the hardships within your life. This leads to a shelter which forms from our beliefs or freedoms from the episodes within your life. This shelter which could be made is far greater and stronger than any man made shelter could be. Now it is important to deal with your past, however do not get trapped in it. Withholding forfiveness will not only bring you misary but also your will be trapped which is a far greater crime than anything that another human can do.

By dealing with your issues and most of all releasing them in the great abyss of the ocean of life you are transforming yourself into the great being you are meant to become. This is an exciting possibility, that you will be oustandingly the person you were meant to be by breaking free of the chains of the past by dealing with them as well, so they have no power over you. If you do not forgive it, it shall be like having a constant barrier. However this barrier will increase in strength exponentially if you have not dealt with the situational circumstance that the missunderstanding has caused. You have to deal with this to break free of the prisons that you set for your future.

When you forgive the whole world ends up changing for us. Your life seems  brighter to live. You learn lessons from life and take it as serious as you can.

There is always someone in your life that could always use forgiveness. It is such an invaluable resource. Understanding is all that life entails.

It is so important to all life. When you truly forgive, you will never forget, but your life will be so much more exiting.

How far does anger extend? That question leads to the way that you forgive the hardships within your life. This leads to a possible prison which forms from our beliefs or freedoms from the episofe within your life. This prison which could be made is a far greater and stronger prison than any man made prison could ever be. Now it is important to deal with your past, but not be trapped in it.

Withholding forgiveness will not only bring misery but also your innocence will be trapped. This is a far greater crime then any other human can do for you.

By dealing with your issues and most of all releasing them as part of the great abyss of the ocean of life you are transforming yourself into the great being that you are always. This is so excitingly possible, that you will be outstandingly the person you were meant to be by breaking free of the chains of the past by dealing with them so they have no power over you. If you do not forgive it shall be like having a constant barrier. However this barrier will increase in strength exponentially if you have not dealt with the situational circumstance that the misunderstanding has caused. You have to deal with this to break free of the prisons that you set as well as for your own future which will thus inherent your problems.

When you forgive, the whole world ends up changing for you. Your views become brighter, your choices become easier and rewards are greater when they are received. Your mood is more subdued. You are more inclined to find humar in your life. Your life seems brighter.

You are the only one who has control over every situation in your life. You change how you see the world. Values cause it to improve. Forgiveness cannot work until you are ready.

There is always someone in your life that could always use forgiveness. It is such an invaluable resourse. Understanding it is all that life entails.

It is so important to all life. When you truly forgive you will never forget, but your life will be so much more exciting.

Sitting on top of the mountain may be very lonely. But if you practice understanding you attract others.

Forgiveness always starts with you. It always draws life together no matter what.  If you can learn to forgive yourself you are half way to forgiving everyone in your life. Time doesn't hold a candle to forgiveness. It can heal all wounds.

You cannot forgive until you are ready and willing. Your journey of forgiveness is yours alone, it takes the time it takes. Withholding forgiveness fills you with anger and injustice.

You cannot forgive umtil you are ready and willing. Your forgiveness journey is yours alone, it takes the time it takes. Withholding forgiveness fills you with anger. Forgiveness is not a usual option for it seems to deny justice, but the reverse is true. You believe you retain power, however this actually keeps you stuck within that part of your history. The way to change this narritive is to deal with the issue. It may or may not go as quickly as you want back to the ways things use to be. Forgiveness involves letting go.

Are you ready to stop telling your story in your old way?

Are you ready to be open to a new way of telling that story?

What is your fork in the road?

It depends on the person, I guess, how free their mind is or how comfortable they feel. Acceptance is a key as well. Love equals all these things and more. They all are abundantly similar, but together they are stronger than anything.

How often do you think of the person who has done wrong to you? Maybe once a year. Do not let them consume your thoughts.

REDRAWING YOUR FORGIVENESS MAP
Forgiveness maps are a fluid way of dealing with issues. It helps us in dramatic ways. We get a new stance on life when we practice what is on your map; however it is difficult to make full additions as well as full separations from it. It adopts new ideals to make us feel comfortable in our lives.

It changes throughout each adventure life throws your in your path, by adapting a new criteria and withholding traditional values as well. Changing the script is vital to grow. However care needs to be taken, otherwise vast consequences can occur.

The main reason for all this change is so you are not uncomfortable. It happens when a crises hits. Whatever has happened, you can change it tp your liking.

We all have many way for not dealing with issues. In the end the more burying we do causes the issue to increase in strength. The crises gets so it will just explode, think of it as building and the generator is backed up, someone not knowing just innocently plugs something and causes the building to explode.

Why do we pay attention to issues when and only when tragedy occurs, not when and how they are caused? We all are to precautionary,  preparing for some disaster to strike, not seeing the one that has not already stuck which is the living of the dead.

When anyone tries to express something out of the ordinary they are usually punished with deverity. We are supposed to be the most advanved lifeforms, but we sure have to start behaving like it.

FINDING THE TRIGGER
What happened the moment you got angry?
Was there a particular person involved?
Did it remind you of anything?
Have you felt angry about this before?
Is this a situation that keeps happening in different ways with different people?

Bedtime Stories

This was a fun story with a humorously serious twist. It started with a little bed and breakfast where the owner only let his children work in it.

He had an imaginative son as well as a book smart daughter. The son was very imaginative and hopeful always pushing the limits.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

This movie was great. It starred Brad Pitt. He had an age deformity. When he was born, he was all wrinkled and old and when he aged he got younger.

Benjamin was very optimistic throughout his life, which probably led him to his gteatness in life. He found a few loves. Married one. He was on a tugboat also and a soldier in World War II.

Through it all he had his optimistic hope which helped him greatly. His mother died when she gave birth to him. His father left him on the steps of a retirement home. He tracked him down a few years after that. He made an atteempt but wasn't successful in being in his life.

The story reminded me of my life. The fact that Benjamin was so optimistic throughout his life kept him going. Through all his obsticles, he just kept going.

He always was having fun in his life with whatever he had. He persevered confidently throughout life and courageously lived his backward, in age only life.

The Last Vampire

A Vampires are a source of terror that do not exist, or there hasn't been evidence of their existance. Vampires always have been a musunderstood as a source of terror. This book by Whitley Strieber is three hundred and three pages long. It took me twenty days to read from October 8, 2012 to October 28, 2012. It was a fascinating story. I hope you enjoy this report.

Miriam Blaycock was the last of her kind. She wanted to get pregnant to save her race. Her eggs were slowly dying. Once majestic, her species was now cast into the shadows, becoming isolated with each passing year.

She had a baby, however it died along with its father. Her mother introduced her to music. She liked operas, maybe becayse she lived through the entire opera era. The most difficult thing she found was to keep up with fashions

Her mother was burned alive as a witch in 1761. She taught her to sing, read, and several languages, however Miriam found languages lost their magical qualities throughout history. Her favorite languages were French and Manerian Chinese. Her father died in the Hidenburg disaster of 1937.

Keepers were the elders of all the ancients of all lifeforms on Earth. Every Keepers book was bound in leather. The richest and most powerful Keepers were the Asians. The loss of all the Keepers books caused Miream to weep. Humans couldn't do anything to The Keepers. Keepers were ten times as strong and more intelligent, and they were as fast as a bullet. The Keepers language was Prime. Keepers caused famine and war stock management. Twenty six Keepers died in the Balkin Wars, this wasthe most in one place. Keepers had breed humans to be slow, so they could out manouver them. Keepers lived forever. If Keepers were real hungry they ate from humans main artery. During WWII many Keepers died.

Vampires gave us fire. They hardly ever laughed. Miream went on cruises and eat all the crew and passengers. She went on planes all the time. She picked up a meal on the plane, a man, and he thought she was a prostitute.

At the hotel she was staying at she got a a suite under the name of Marie Tellman. She liked having sex with her prey, which was unlike others of her kind.

Paul Ward, the Interpol agent was on a vampire steak out. Paul was going back to the US to become head of a new Vampire Eradication program. Pauls dad was killed by vampires.

Vampires were not considered to be human or animals. A reporter in New York started reporting on Vampires.

Miream went with customs when she landed. She would need a new identity in London, after she killed the customs officers.

She jumped out the window so she wouldn't be cought however he got cornered by police. She pay them off, like the ones back home. She thought of using her speed and running into traffic. Then she used her fake identity to confuse them.
But they didn't bother her at all, they were just going on break. She had remembered Phillippe, a former lover.

Her credit card was declined at the Ritz when she went after the plane.
She confusingly took the Metro after that, but managed to get on the right train.

Miream had to prostitute herself because she needed money. Miream was trying to bring her race back. Washington was looking for vampires. Actually the CIA had the best way to search. The CIA was monitoring Beckys, Mireams assistant, emails, phone conversion, faxes

One time Miream sucked a poor guy through his penis. The Vampires were thought to be aliens, but their were no aliens on Earth for at least 50,000 years.

Humans were caged by Keepers, but were set free, free range humans tasted better.

Miream tried to make a fire for her and Martin but couldn't. Martin was older than Miream and almost died because he didn't eat for a year.

Gullivers Travels

Gullivers Travels

Gullivers Travels by Jonathan Swift is about the voyages Gulliver had through four distinct realms. The first realm he went to was Lilliput. This had people no bigger than your thumb. The second land was Brobdingnag. This land had.people who were giants. The third land was Laputa. This was an island in the sky. The fourth land was Houynhums. The people there were horse-like.

Gulliver was from a wealthy family He went to Cambridge and apprenticed a surgeon, Mr Bates. He married Mary Burton, daughter of Edmund Burton.

He got lost at sea, and winds up swimming to the land of Lilliputs and taken prisoner where he slept and awoke bound to the ground. "Hekinah degal," was repeated as he lay. Then "Tolgo phonac" was repeated when he moved his head.
He felt 100 arrows hit his left hand. They rammed him with a spear as he tried to get up.

Gulliver slept on 150 Lilliput beds. They provided him with sheets and blankets as well. News of his arrival produced huge amounts of curiousity.
People that had seen him had to remain 50 yards from his house if they hadn't permission of authorities.

The emperor had serious talks about what should be done with Gulliver. They were planning to shoot him but feared his carcus would produce a famine throughout the land. Every village produced 40 sheep for Gulliver breakfast.

600 people were assigned to help Gulliver to groom as well as maintain his appearance. 300 tailors were asked to make Guliver a suit. There were teachers sent to instruct him on language and cultures of the land. He asked for the freedom to explore. Some guards were put around him to make sure he and the land were safe. His majesty said he had to be searched by two officers. The officers took inventory of the stuff within the household as well.

He would let the Lilliputians dance on his hand and play hide and seek in his hair. The Lilliputians were elected to office by family or athleticaly based they jumped. These events sometimes ended in accidental fatalities. They were at war and used Gulliver as a barricade. They made a sort of contract with Gulliver, who they called us they called the Man-Mountain.
It was conjectured that Gulliver came from space.

There was a 2 1/2 foot wall surrounding the town. When Gulliver walked over the town every Lillipution was on their roof looking up. The emperors palace has a two foot wall around it.

There are two parties in Lilliput: Tramecksan and Slamecksan. The Lilliputians have separate male and female nurseries The boys are dressed by older men until they are four years old.The girls are dressed by women until five years old. The parents see them twice a year for an hour each visit. If adults tell the children made up stories they are whipped and banished.

They were going to prick his eyes because he failed to protect the Lilliputions. He was going to leave as well. Before he returned to his native country, he went to Blefusia. He departed so soon because of a disagreement with the royalty, however they gave him food and supplies for his voyage home.

500 workmen made sails from the strongest linons. The emperor gave him his picture, and he kissed him good bye. He was on his way home and was greeted by an old friend. He stayed with his wife and kids for two months.

PART TWO
A voyage to Brobdingnag

Gulliver traveled on a ship which deserted him.The ship was scared off by.one of its inhabitants
He noticed the grass was an astounding 20 feet.
Gulliver was met by a farmer. He found Gulliver to be rational, and spoke to him, however his voice was to loud for Gulliver.  The farmers wife was scared of him at first. He ate with them when she calmed down.

His wife crumbled meat and bread for him. He tripped over the tablecloth as he was walking to the farmer. He slept for two hours after the meal.
He awoke under attack from two rats. He stabbed and killed one and the other ran in fear.
He dragged the deceased from the bed.

Their farmers daughters took care of Gullivers wardrobe and was his teacher. She called him Grildrig. Her name was Glumdalclitch. He was a curiosity to the villagers. A grultrud or crier gave notice as they went through the town. Thirty people were allowed to see him at a time. His daughter was the only one permitted to touch Gulliver.

Wednesday was their Sabbath so he was given the day off. Gulliver was in poor health. IHe was asked to make an appearance in front of the queen. He was asked to live in a castle when he was sold to the queen for 1000 gold pieces. Gulliver requested the farmers daughter remain his teacher. The queen agreed to take the farmers daughter in as well by request of Gulliver.

A bedchamber was made for him. Gulliver drowned in cream but was saved. The flies which were bird-sized bothered him greatly at meal time. Wasps also attacked him and stole his bread. But he eventaully killed them. He attacked them with a hanger and took their stingers. He removed them and kept them.

He gave two to a university when he arrived home and kept one for himself. He traveled the country in a new little box that was made because the other one was to odd shaped. A dwarf caused apples to fall on Gulliver, but wasn't punished by Gullivers request because he had provoked him.

He was caught in a hailstorm and injured. He got caught by a group if pigeons as well. He got clawed but wasn't injured any more then that. He had the pigeon for dinner the next day.

The queen distracted him with asking him about sailing when he was feeling meloncholy. They made a boat for him. Gulliver almost lost his life when he was slipped through a woman's fingures who was placing him on the boat and fell 40 feet saved by a pocket

Another time a frog was let out of a pail of the person who was feeding Gulliver. He defended himself and banged the frog on the head.

A monkey came through the window. Gulliver was mediating and quickly came to and overcame the challenge. The monkey actually thought he was a relation and began combing his hair and feeding him. He ended up being rescued by a boy who put him in his pocket. He stayed in his bed two weeks, to overcome the situation. His health was of great concern and checked on daily.

He made some chairs out of the queens hair that the queen displayed with great pleasures. He told of the sports and pastimes of England. Gulliver was sometimes brought to the kings concerts. He had discussion about Europe with the king.

Part III The Travels into Several Remote Nations of The World--Voyage to Laput

The voyage began August 5, 1706, and took a brief stop three weeks April 1707. They hadn't sailed four days when they got caught in a storm. Then they were boarded by two different pirate ships.

Gulliver is taken by pirates immediately after he started his third voyage. He was asked to be the doctor on the ship, to which he agrees. The crew was happy. They stayed at St. George to relax. He  went for a voyage with them when they were boarded by pirates. He was tied as well as the crew and they were all going to be thrown over board. Gulliver convinced them to only throw him overboard.  This was the worst punishment, even more than death. He actually got a conoe with an eight day supply of food and was set of drift. On his fifth day in the canoe, he got on the island.

Gulliver got plenty of kindle to cook his breakfast the next morning. He slept very little the night before, because of his anxiousness of his survival on the island. After breakfast, he began his exploration of the island and saw some people. He managed to communicate his distress, even though they had a different language. He then saw, to his surprise, they were on a flying island. They made signs for him for him to come down off the rocks and go to the shore.

Gulliver made his way to the island in the sky. He.was treated as very respectable and like one of the community. He was having a good meal of duck, beef and sausage. He was taught the language of the land. All his questions about the land were answered. After his meal he was brought to the king. The king ordered new clothes to be made for him. Unfortunately the clothes that were made for him were of poor quality, but he was thankful, all the same. Music was scheduled and was being played to Gullivers delight. He was uninterested in the current events of the land.

The residents were never relaxed, for their distress arose from the celestial plane. They believed the Earth would be swallowed up by the sun or become ash due to a comet. Gulliver never met a people more miserable than the people on the floating island.

The flying or floating island is circular. It is 7837 yards or 4.5 miles in diameter. It has a 300 yard thickness. The bottom is an even plate. Its highest point is 2,000 yards. It seems to the people that the government has the power to raise and lower, and make it rain or not. Within the center there is a pit about 50 yards across, which astronomers use to view the skies.

The king was taking Gulliver in his carriage for a tour of the Island. He showed Gulliver the unique way they farm. The island in the sky was people's work as well as others vacation destination. They stayed up there for a five month rotation. They even had a school and university up there. Gulliver was introduced to people whose only job was to mix colors for artists. He saw someone who made gunpowder, who wrote something about the usefulness of fire, which he planned on publishing. Then he met an architect who invented a new way of building from the top down.

He met Universal Artist, whose iob was to contemplate the issues plaging the lands, he had a large room filled with over 600 books, and had 500 men working for him. They went to a linguistic school. He saw that they were shortening books to mere nouns. Another project they were advancing on was to totally do away with language. This would be done by having the effects needed to converse with them and pointing them out. One of the.difficulties was to carry the items that you wish to converse about. Another difficulty was traveling to other land with languages entirely foreign to you.

Now, Gulliver travels to Luggenagg, just north of California. The Japanese Emperor and the Luggenegg king have an alliance which encourages travel. When he arrived in California, there wasn't any ships leaving for Luggenegg for some time. So he took a trip to Glubbdubdried. Glubbdubdried means sorcery or magician and is governed by royalty. The prince has the ability to raise the dead, but only for twenty-four hours, and can't call them for another three months.

The Prince/ Governor saw Gulliver when he requested an audience with him. Gulliver was afraid by the guards to the castle, but had no idea why.  He told the Governor about his travels. He ate with the Governor daily. They were served by ghosts. He declined the offer to stay with the Prince. He ate with the Governor daily, as well. Gulliver was given permission to call upon any ghost he so desired. He first called upon Alexander The Great, next Hannibal, who went through the Alps, he called on Ceaser and Pompey of Rome, and lastly St. Thomas More.

Some children had a red spot on their forehead. This spot grew and changed color as they aged. Gullivers friend, that he made in that country were extremely proud of what he was speaking to the Emperor about. He was then, searching for something to occupy the time away from the Prince. He fantasied about being other people. This diminished the free time greatly. After 80 years of age they are seen as dead to their world. When they turn 80 they are unable to purchase land or participate in sociatal activities of any sort. They lose their teeth and hair and disease if they have any are left untreated. They are put on a  form of welfare that would put us to shame and live off the kindness of strangers. Their age was found by the asking of the earlist royalty that they remembered.

Gulliver leaves and makes a smal visit to Japan, and then sails to Amsterdam. Then from Amsterdam to England. He made up his pqarents names for the royalty of England. He found all of his family healthy, when he arrived home.

Gulliver spent five months at home. He had become captain of a ship. Soon after this he had a mutiny.  He gave his position as captain up to Pocock. Several men died due to the weather. He was taken one morning and bound to his bed and was thrown overboard. The crew took over the ship and were going to sell all it's treasures. When they got to land they threw him overboard.

Gulliver feared the inhabitants of the island because they appeared to be horse-people who had long claws. Their hare was either brown, black or yellow. He hid from them at first. When they were gone, he found a road and followed it, not knowing where it would lead. He found three sets of tracks, of cows, horses and people.

The horses he found were surprised to see him. They were neighing to eachother, not unlike communication. He thought these creatures were magicians who morphed themselves into horses. He asked if he was able to ride on one of their backs to a town. Gulliver was led to a town, given food and drink in a civilized fashion. He brought present for his hosts, however this land was so odd, he tried to wake from this dream. He then saw some of the animals that he observed when he arrived at the island. These animals were actually humans, but they didn't clean or take care of themselves in any way.

Gulliver wanted to milk a cow but his host led him to a cupboard where a nurse gave him a bowl full of milk which he drank and that quenched his thirst. He then saw a cart pulled by four men. He dined with the horses. They all appeared to be modest. Gulliver wore gloves which perplexed his hosts and they wanted him to remove them. He had oat paste for dinner. He didn't get s8ck at all. At first he missed the food he was used to, but then got used to  these and was totally satisfied.

His host and his children were eager to teach Gulliver the language of the land. They wondered if his clothes were a part of his body, because he undressed after the host and his children went to bed and dressed before they awoke. The host hoped he would soon learn Gullivers story, and since Gulliver was such a quick study of the language, he soon would be able to share it.

His master didn't believe the story Gulliver told. He never heard a people beyond the sea and to take wood and float on the water. In their language Houyhnhnm, the species name, signifies a horse and states that they are the perfection of nature. Horse's of the neighborhood visited them to ask Gulliver question and he answered the best that he could.

One morning a servant walked in on Gulliver before he awoke and saw his nude body, afraid he ran to his master and told and told him what he saw. Gulliver asked that he not tell that he saw his body to anyone and his master granted Gullivers request.  He asked his master to not call him a yahoo any more. He was still in awe on Gullivers travels on a ship of wood. Gulliver wad surprised both to see the Yahoo as the Houhnhnyms.

Doubting and non-believing were not practiced in the land. He was asked how horses were treated on his land. To which he replied it depends if they pulled carriages they were treated with respect, if they were on the farm they weren't that much. Friendship was a great value to the Houyhnhnms. They are at home everywhere they travel. Four times a year there is a race for the youth. Where want exist, it is immediately remedied. There are no diseases. They practice poetry and they all excelled at it. They use their hooves to milk their cows and reap their oats and also use tools they make out of stone. They live to seventy or seventy five. They caculate when they are going to die pretty acurately. When they die they have no regrets.

Gulliver found many friend. Their were few to no criminals or quarrels. Gulliver just answered questions in the presense of his master's friends. They went into the his of humans. Gulliver was glad to add to this. His master got in some trouble for keeping Gulliver as a member of his family, to which his master defended him and made clear that he was not like other yahoos on the island. Because of this Guliver had to prepare to go home. There wasn't much to make a boat, because the Houhnhnyms never heard sailing. His master helped him, and it took only six weeks. He packed milk and water. He kissed his masters hoove and set sail.

Gulliver sailed in search of an uninhabited island. In finding it, he ate some raw shellfish. He did not cooked them, because he didnt want to attack any attention. He was there for twenty days until he found some nakid indians on the island. He retreated in a canoe after being discovered. He feared them and didn't want any violence. He was chased in the water and got shot by an arrow in the leg. He docked and met some inhabitants.

Gulliver got lost again. He finally found his way to another uncharted island. He got wounded by the natives and dressed it as best he could. He was finally found by the Portuguese and explained his being there as best he could. Even then he was tied up, but at least he was brought aboard. At night he tried to escape, but was cought.

He hated humans now because of how they mistreated themselves and animals. However when the voyage was over he stayed with the captain for a little while. Following that, he went on a voyage to find his family in England. On the ship that took him to England, he didn't interact with the crew at all for his acting sick. He was more offended with the wasting of mind and body and pride then before all his voyages.

The Time Machine

By Joe Haldeman

“For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again.”
― Eric Roth, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button screenplay

Accidental Time Machine by Joe Haldeman

This story was the Accidental Time Machine was about a young scientist who invented a time machine by accident. He traveled to futuristic places within it. I started in on May 5 of this year and finished it on May 15. It was a very interesting read.

Matt Fuller's supervisor, Marsh, hadn't been watching when the time machine made its first voyage. His supervisor didn't believe him and attributed it to sleep deprivation.Matt stayed a little longer, his supervisor went home.

He then went 33 minutes into the future in the time machine and it went 12 times longer each time.
Matt took the machine home. Matt stayed in the lab so much because he didn't want to come home to an empty house.

Kara, his girlfriend, wasn't home. Kara came home after Matt talked with his mom. Kara broke up with Matt for she didn't believe he was at the lab and she couldn't reach him. Next, Matt took the Time Machine home secretly. He timed the voyage with his stopwatch. He set a continuas video on his camcorder. He was going to proceed at ten, a few seconds before he started up the machine. He jammed his thumb down on the button and disappeared. He then thought he should have put the camcorder on the machine with him. His mother called in concern of the storm, so he stopped. Matt decided to take the time machine for a longer voyage, but first he had to build a copy, so it wouldn’t be missed. Matt wanted to put an animal in the time machine, but the pet store was closed since it was Sunday. He put a gallon of water in the time machine to see how much would evaporate. He then set the machine to go six hours into the future.

Matt couldn't come up with a name for the machine, he now called it a photon callibrator. He could of made it appear in his lab, with hundreds of students witnesses. He found out that night in an email that his funding was being cut by New Years. To make matters worse  he got fired from MIT. So he thought of playing on the rivalry of Harvard and then his lead, Marsh, would be fired, but decided against it. To still worsen this Kara's new boyfriend, Storm Lewis, would be taking his old job. Matt asked Dr. Marsh what was going on, to which he got no response. He.realized he helped Storm get the job, from the way he graded his papers.

Matt fell into a great depression because of this, where he slept for a day in a half. His job situation put him in such a mood that him going to a nudist bar didn't even help. However, he started working on his dissertation to pass the time, which was on the topic of the pattern local asymmetries in the gravity wave induction with a supernovae. Matt found out the machine went back in time because he found an engineering ruler, which he hasn't used since he was an engineering student.

Matt now was going to test the machine with himself. He brought a gallon of water, 1,005 calories of food, and burbon to keep him sane. He was taking a wetsuit and snorkel if he landed in the water and a raft as well. He asked his friend Denny to lend him his car. He was asked to videotape the whole thing as well. Matt just went a nine months and a few miles and was arrested and crashed into a into a bus. He was arrested for the fact that Danny was dead and he stole his car.  Dennis died when Matt left, Matt was interviewed by a police officer. Matt's bail of 1,000 dollars was given by an unknown source. He conned the officer to take him to his car and jumped in time thirty nine days and thirteen hours into the future.

In the future Matt jumped to he was a professor at MIT. There was a big parade welcoming Matt.Professor Marsh came up with a way to detect when the time machine was returning. Marsh suffered an illness from all the excitement of the.day before. Kara, his ex-girlfriend and Storm brought Matt some books in the hospital so he could catch up with the physics he rewrote. He asked if they new who bailed him out in the previous timeline, they didn't know who that was.

Matt's mom was in a nursing home when he returned, lost to Alzheimer's. He went to his 25th high school reunion, which was actually troubling to him. He found it very difficult to make friends. Kara was still in love with him, however she had a son, so that complicated things. This made his desire to time travel even more then him being out of date on everything. The team that was researching the time machine brought Matt in to study the effects it had on him. Matt activated the machine, making it look accidental.

Matt's next jump was to a forest. He was following a road. He found abandoned cars, spread out every mile. He stopped for a night after a guy ran away. Matt met a family that was fishing. Matt decided to fish with them and cought a big fish.

Outpost of Jupiter

Lester del Rey

"The impossible only takes a little longer to come true."

This story mixed facts with fiction about Jupiter.  Jupiter is eleven times the diameter of the Earth. It is nearly five million miles from the sun. It is eleven times the diameter of the Earth. Its gravity is 400 times less. The crust is 600 miles of an unknown substance. The pressure is ten times greater than the ocean. Its normal temperature is twenty degrees below zero. Its atmosphere Methane and has ammonia crystal  clouds. This book has 191 pages. I read this story from Monday July 15 to Thursday July 25.

It has four moons that were discovered in 1610 by Galileo.  The moons are called Io, Europa, Ganymede and Calisto.  They all are about the size of Mars. Calisto is made of an unknown frozen liquid. It is half the weight of our moon. All the moons are airless and frozen which makes the study of them nearly impossible.

Ganymede is the most promising to be able to study. It is 3,300 miles in diameter and its gravity is similar to our moon. Procylon,  was going a million miles an hour to Titan. The main crew was Captain Rokoff, Cheif Engineer Haikato, and Cheif Navigator Andrews. The other main characters were Red, Bob and his father. Penny was a rambunctious girl. Reds parent's died.

The Procyon was hit by many asteroids. They actually caused the ship to lose some air and took out one of the bio-domes. They were able to fix the shields, however the amount of damage was unknown.  The captain had entertained the idea that this was not astroids but an actual space pirates attack. Bob, however believed a ship hit the dome and took it.

Jupiter's big red spot is bigger than the entire crust on Earth. It had disappeared several times and shrank. Since the Procyon c9uld on the oceans surface it had no trouble landing on Ganymede. There were over 3000 people on Ganymede.  They were on a search of new plant life and animals. They could have another city in approximately ten years.

Bobs father was sick and could be cured due the gravity on Ganymede and a plant found there. He was being grounded because of his condition.

Bob majored in applied linguistics which studied the differences of language and found there were not many. Bob was taking a few semester's off in caring for his father, and he feared that he would be so behind due to this. Mankind had recently created a new language to communicate with machines. This speech had a basis in mathematics. People yet had no basis to compare non Earth languages. Red was sorry Bob had to stay and he would miss his schooling, but he would make a good colonist of him yet. Bob attempted to create a language to communicate with aliens called the Jovians, in the sphere that was detached from the ship, his attempt failed.

Bob was bored while his father worked so he was taken to see the mayor to find out what he could do. He was used as a clerk. When Bob got paid, he bought a suit to go out on the planet in.

Bob's friend Penny was the daughter of a friend. She said the people who broke the bubble on the ship came to the outpost as well.

Living on Jupiter cause abnormally slow aging. The regeneration wasn't only with age, but with health as well. The mayor wanted a list of all the individuals Bob, his father and Red have talked to without a suit.

Penny found diamonds wnd Red and Bob were curious about where she found them so they followed her the next time she disappeared. They found the ship that took the bubble off Bob's ship. Penny traveled there many times. She befriended it, because it was giving her presents.

Bob caught the disease on the planet, it was like the flu. Because of this Earth declared Earth a quarantine planet. However the diease proved to be non contagious. Sanchez was Bobs assistant in the hospital. The antidote from Earth would arrive to late to help a lot of the population. There was a interplanetary plague like this ever sinse the Martian fever.

Penny got lost, leading to Kirby yelling at her, he asked her to stop acting like a baby. So she took them to see the globe.  She was a baby when the sphere first called to her. The aliens in the sphere were dying. They had the same disease as the people of the town had. Kirby wanted to open it by blowing it up. This started a frenzy in the town. Three month's later a ship arrived with a cure. The Jovains were cured so they left. They found that people who survived the plague had a longer life expectancy.

Paranorman: The Beginning

Paranorman is a book about a school age kid,who can hear and see all dead things: both human and animal. This story is by Elizabeth Cody Kimmel. It has 54 pages. I started reading it on Wednesday April 3, 2013. I finished it on April 9, 2013.

As soon as Norman was born, at one in the morning, the hospital had a blackout, there was a strange dog howl for miles around and two guys saw a rainbow, shaped like a question mark, after their shift at a restaurant known as Witchy Weiner.

When he was 13, he found he had the ability to communicate with the dead, and that dead animals had a lot more to say then there human companions. He found that out in a science class while they were dissecting frogs. Items were disappearing from his class, a hamster, Norman introduced the frog to Alvin. Alvin was the classroom bully. Then he introduced the frog to Selma, who was the brain of the class. The frog was trying to tell Norman he wanted a proper grave.

Neil Gorman, the student who mostly got bullied, said to Norman to shut up, because of the fact that he would get bullied immensely for days to a week following. Norman didn't pay him any mind. Alan taunted Norman, saying he was a frog whisperer.

Norman has been both hearing and seeing the dead for as long as he could remember. But he started communicating with them only when his Grandmother died a year ago. He didn't mind being made fun of. He even had the status of an outcast.

The hamster came out from the back of the cage. No one recognized it and it started a huge commotion in the classroom. Norman pulled the.fire alarm and he took advantage of this  commotion and put the frog under his arm and he went out of the classroom. He slipped out of the school and went to a swampy area of the school yard and let the frog loose.

Norman and his sister Courtney missed their grandmother very much. She died at a very old age. Normans father was afraid his crazy brother would attend. His father hated the wrong type of attention being drawn to them, although that happened a lot when Norman was around. In the funeral home Norman was the main attraction for the spirits. He was not there, for more than ten minutes and the conversations started.

Norman was getting refreshments to disguise his conversations with the spirits. A man was was trying to get in, however the funeral home director wasn't letting him in on account of his poor dress was not appropriate for the get together. He then saw Norman and wanted to talk to him. The man actually was conversing with the ghosts that Norman was conversing with. Norman ended up screaming though, "All of you leave me alone." Alvin, from his class, was there, and responded to this by saying, "Dude your the only one standing there. Who you talking to the vegetable dip?" Normans father was severely embarrassed.

A morning after the funeral, Grandma Babcock was watching a Zombie movie with Norman. She walked through a solid wall another morning as casually as walking through a door. She's been doing this for approximately eleven months, now and showed no sign of wanting to leave. Norman was asked to take the trash out by his father, during the Zombie movie he was watching. Then Norman was asked why he couldn't be "normal' and put a tent up in the yard or save his allowance money and get something cool? He responded with "I like Zombies." He even brushed his teeth with a Zombie toothbrush and had the toothpaste foam out of his mouth. His room was covered with Zombie posters. Norman told his father, Grandma wanted the heat up. Courtney Norman to prove grandma was talking to him.

Norman never liked to flaunt his connection to the dead. But his sister was really begging him, so he told her she had pictures of the varsity football quarterback shirtless in her underwear drawer. Courtney embarrassedly charged out of the kitchen, her parents couldn't hide their devilish smiles. Normans mother said that at least she was in a better place, to which Norman said, "What in the living room." After that he went back to watching the movie with his Grandma. He had to explain a few parts of the movie to her. After the movie was over Norman wished his Grandma good night and went to bed. He heard his parents from upstairs saying, "I hope he hasn't got what his crazy uncle got." His father got more annoyed when the incident that occurred in the funeral home got out to the rest of the neighborhood. When Norman went up to his room and heard what his parents were saying about him, he was communicating subliminally with a moth.

Norman dreamt about the mysterious man outside the funeral home. He was looking at pictures in Normans room, however Norman couldn't make them out. He awoke and had to collect himself, because of this he missed breakfast and rushed out to school. But he was late, and he hated that. He saw the usual ghosts on the way to school. He almost crashed into a ghost of a military man and his horse. He then saw a dead raccoon and said, "Your new." The raccoon pointed to a corner with no stop sign. Norman said "There used to be a sign, but someone hit it."

Norman found the word "freak" on his locker when he got to school after being knocked down by some Lacrosse players. Math was canceled for pageant rehearsal, which Norman hated. It was in the gym which smelled like sweat and old rubber as usual, but was worse in the morning. The pageant was staged with bad artwork from the colonial era. Norman was of course cast as the first narrator.

Selma, Normans friend was arguing with Mrs. Hershal about her costume. She was the only student, Norman knew, who would stand up and argue teachers. Then something strange happened, even for Normans standards. The script turned into parchment. The rest of his friends momentarily transformed into pilgrims. Then the real world emerged once more.

Norman sensed someone was chasing him. It was his friend Neil. They were both ridiculed by Alvin and his gang. They heard a man whisper "hey," from behind a statue in the town square. Norman and the weird man could both see ghost. On the 300th anniversary, which was coming up the gate between the living world and the dead.world would be open. Norman was one that could stop this. Neil rescued Norman by throwing an apple at the man.

Norman told Neal that he saw dead people. Neal was thrilled. He asked Norman if he could come over and find his dead dogs spirit. Norman saw the dead dog cut in half. Norman played "phantom" fetch with Neil and.his dog all after noon.

When Norman got home, he had a ton of homework and to learn lines for the play. Selma called, because they were lab partners, she wanted to make sure everything was alright. He dreamt of the weird guy showing him some books, and then woke up. The next dream he had  of doing the play in his underwear. In the real play he checked to make sure he had all of his costume off. From that moment, things went horrific down ally bad.

Norman, then saw a huge owl, then the gym ceiling crackles and disintegrated. Then Norman was magically teleported to the oldest part of the woods, just outside of town. He was in the middle of a witch hunt. The villagers started chasing him.

After Norman was back, he started screaming, "The dead are coming," and jumped off the stage. A mass panic arose, followed by laughter. After that Norman and his family went home and he was.grounded, just for being who he was.

The whole school was laughing at Norman the next day. If he thought he knew misery before, this was a whole new meaning. He only could get a moment to himself in the bathroom. Someone came in and he went up on the toilet seat to hide. Then his role of toilet paper suddenly began to be undone. Norman wondered what was going on. Then the toilet began to shutter violently. The water started spilling out. The face of the old man, Prendergast, appeared in the bowl. He gave him a book with business for him to finish.

Alphas

A radical transformation is on its way, it is as though the human brain is developing a new set of skills, significant change in its hardware since the appearance of language. A third wave of human adaptation. These so-called alphas are everywhere, but most have no idea that they are part of a larger phenomena. For reasons that date back to the cold war, policy makers have insisted on keeping this information from the public. Officially my mandate is to supervise a group of aphas, as they assist with cases suggesting alpha activity. But my goal remains the same, to help understand these very special people, and the revolutionary developments to the human brain.

WIZARD OF OZ

BY L FRANK BAUM

Dorothy brought laughter into Aunt Em and Uncle Henry's house. It was so long since they laughed that Henry forgot what laughter and fun were because of working so hard in the fields. Also Henry and Aunt Em were both gray from age and work and lack of fun. Henry looked solumn and stern and hardly ever spoke.Toto gave life to Dorethy and caused her to laugh and have fun. They played all day.

When the cyclone first appeared Uncle Henry ran to check on the animals in the barn. When Aunt Em ran to the storm celler with Dorothy Toto jumped out of her arms, so she ran to chase him.Dorethy never made it to the storm celler.

The house swirled around. Dorethy felt as if she was in a balloon. The house was carried as if it was light as a feather. Dorethy also felt like a baby in a crib. Toto didn't like what was happening. Toto fell out, but the wind pressure kept him up. Dorethy went to sleep to await the house to stop.

Dorethy was awakened by a shock that was so harsh that she would have fell out of bed if she wasn't in it. She ran to her door to open it. She went out and was welcomed by the Munchkins. Dorethy killed the Wicked Witch of the East and the Munchkins were overjoyed.

The land of Oz not being civilized still had wizards and witches. Oz is the greatest wizard who lived in the Emerald City. The Witch of West ruled over the Winkes in the West.

Dorethy must go to the center of the country to Oz. The Witch of the North will use all the magic she knows to protect Dorethy. No one would injure Dorethy for the Witch gave her a kiss.

Dorethy buttered some bread for her and Toto, then got fruit which completed her breakfast. She had only one dress. She took off her old leather worn shoes and put on the Witches silver shoes. The Munchkins houses all were blue, for that was the counties favorite color

At night, she went in the fields and found a party at a wealthy Munchkins house and a table with delicious food which she ate at. They were celebrating the demise of the Wicked Witch and their newly gained freedom.

They were pleased to see her wear blue and white, for blue was the color of Munchkins and white good witches

She wandered off the path at night and found a Munchkin named Boq having a party celebrating the defeat of the wicked witch. Boq let her rest in a room when she grew. When she woke she ate breakfast. She had to rest after several miles of the journey and climbed a fence and sat She saw a scarecrow. The Scarecrow winked and then nodded at Dorethy. Toto ran up and barked at him. He wasn't feeling well with the pole up his back. Dorethy managed to take him down.

The Yellow Brick Road road got scary. It had holes in it, which caused the Scarecrow to stumble and fall. However his humour made him laugh and kept him from embarrassment. At noon, Dorethy sat and ate lunch from her basket. She offered some to the Scarecrow who refused for having no stomach. The Scarecrow asked why she wished to go back to to Kansas because it was so grey. To which she responded because her loved ones were there. Dorethy asked him to tell her a story because he was made two days ago.

He tried to tell her about how he was made. His maker made him, and he luckily put his eyes in first, so he could see around him. His maker then painted the rest of his face on. He tried to walk after his maker was done with him, but found that he couldn't because of the pole stuck in his back. The crows soon became unafraid of him, because he couldn't get them.

It had become evening and Dorethy couldn't see, but Toto and the Scarecrow could. Dorethy asked if they could see a house or anyplace we could stop, could we stop? They found a place and Dorethy and Toto were soon fast asleep. The Scarecrow, who had no need for sleep stood guard.

When Dorethy awoke she and the Scarecrow searched for water, so she could bathe and have a drink with her bread. While they were getting water they heard a groan. Dorethy ran to the cottage, they had just spent the night in, and got the oil can for the Tin Man and oiled his joints. The Tin Man then joined the party to Oz and was going to ask for a heart, for he once had one. He almost married a Munchkin girl. However he was stopped by her mother. She needed assistance cooking and cleaning, and didn't want her daughter to get married and leave. She made a deal with the Wicked Witch of the East and gave her two sheep and a cow if she would prevent the marriage. The Witch caused the Tin Man ax to slip, chopping off his left leg. He went to.the Tinner and he fixed him up. Then the witch slowly caused him to be all tin, by having him cut off all his parts. This being done he lost his love for the Munchkin girl.

They were going through a creepy dark part of the yellow brick road. They met the cowardly lion. The Tin Man cried that he crushed a bug, because he valued all life. He cried a bit and rusted from it. No one understood him when he asked to be oiled, except the Scarecrow, so he oiled him. That taught the Tin Man to look where he was going. For if he started to cry, he would rust. He knew he had no heart so he would.attempt not to be cruel or unkind to anything.

That night they camped out, for there were no houses near. The Tin Man chopped wood and Dorethy built a fire. The Lion said he would kill an animal for Dorethy's breakfast, to which she refused, because the Tin Man would cry. So the Lion went out and ate alone. The Scarecrow found some nuts on a tree and got them down for Dorethy. The Scarecrow dropped some because hands were just straw so he couldn't grip well. Dorethy was honored that he tried.

When they awoke they found a new obsticle before them. They found a deep stream. The Lion thought he could jump it with one of them on his back. To test he first took the Scarecrow. The Lion was able to, so he took everyone in the party over.

They came to another chasm which was bigger, so the Scarecrow said why the Tin Man could cut a tree and we could across it. Two tigers chased them as they crossed the bridge.

They sailing on a river they had to cross. They sailed to far from the land and were scared, they would sail to close to the wicked witch's territory, and become in a trance. The Scarecrows pole got stuck at the bottom of the river making him stuck. They were afraid they lost him. The Lion dragged the boat to shore.

A stork was flying by and asked where they were going. Dorethy said to Oz and asked the stork to save the scarecrow. The stork agreed and said she would try. The stork managed to rescue him. Then they found the field of poppies. Dorethy didn't know poppies made you sleep, so she fell asleep in the field. The Tin Man carried her out. The Lion who was getting tired had to run out of the field.because he couldn't be carried. The Lion didn't make it. They found him fast asleep.

The Tin Man saved a field mouse from a wild cat by chopping his head off. The mouse was the Queen of the field mice. The Queen made her horde serve the Tin Man and grant his every wish. Toto awoke and started chasing the mice, as he did in Kansas. The Queen asked if he would bite. To which the Tin Man responded he won't allow him to.

The Tin Man couldn't come up with anything to wish for, so the Scarecrow said the Queen could rescue the Lion, in the poppyfield. The Tinman made a cart out of wood and each mouse in the Queens horde brought some string to pull the cart. Dorethy awoke from her long sleep and the Scarecrow filled her in on what was happening. All the mice returned with pieces of string within there mouth and they tied to their necks. They tied one end to their necks and the other to the cart and they were able to pull it quite easily. Then the Scarecrow and the Tin Man put the Lion on the cart quite easily. Dorethy thanked the mice because of their heroic feat, of saving the Lion. The Queen said if they ever needed their help again to just call out and she will come.

They spent the night with some Munchkins, who were first scared of the Lion, until Dorethy promised he was a tame lion. They gave Dorethy some.porage and eggs for dinner and Toto some bread. Dorethy said they were on there way to see Oz. However they said no one ever saw Oz, in fact no one even knew what he looked like. The Munchkins are all scared of his grandness. They say he takes on many forms.

The next morning they continued they're journey to Oz. Before long they saw the beautiful green glow of the Emerald City. However it took them all morning to reach it. There was a bell to enter the city. The gate opened when the rang it. There was a little green man, about the size of a Munchkin that met them as they entered. They told him they wanted to see Oz. He responded, it has been many year since anyone has seen Oz, let alone asked to see him. Oz was so bright the man gave them glasses.

Only one was admitted to see the Wizard alone. They had luxurious sweets to stay in until the Wizard was ready for them. In Dorethy's room she found a fountain of green tinted perfume water, and green books and all the dresses in the wardrobe fit her exactly. The same nicitys were in the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lions room.

Oz appeared to Dorethy as a great head, and asked Dorethy where she got her shoes, she told him and she told him about the kiss from the Witch of the North. The Wizard asked Dorethy to kill the Wicked Witch of the West and he will grant her wish. Oz appeared to the Scarecrow as a beautiful woman and asked the same. The TinMan saw Oz as a horrific beast. It was the size of an elephant, it had a rhinoceros head with five eyes. It had five arms and five legs as well. It also had a thick woolly coat. The lion saw him as a great ball of fire. The same condition was given to all of them, to kill the Wicked Witch of the West.

Dorethys dress turned white when they left Oz. They soon left the houses and the land wasn't taken care of. Dorethey, the Lion and Toto slpt after that with the TinMan and the Scarecrow standing watch. The Wicked Witch had only one eye, but could see through it like a telescope. She first set her wolves on them. The TinMan tookbcare of them by chopping their heads off. In the morning Dorethy thanked him for saving them. This made the Witch madder. She called her crows and set them on the travelers. This time the Scarecrow protected them by scaring them away.

The Witch sent a sworn of bees to sting them. The Scarecrow said "Take my straw out and scatter it over the girl, the Lion and Toto," which prevented them from being seen, this caused the bees not to sting them, Then Dorethy helped the TinMan put the scarecrow back together. The Witch called her slaves the Winkes and set them on the travelers. The Lion roared and scared them away. She then used her magical golden cup which was in her cupboard to call upon the flying monkeys to kill all but the Lion, for she would put him to work for her. They picked up the TinMan and through him on jagged rocks, where he became all dented and couldn't move or grown. The flying monkeys picked the Scarecrow apart. They threw rope around the Lion and on a tall tree, so he couldn't get away. Then they carried him to the Whiches castle. They only could carry Dorethy, because she had the Good Witches kiss, and that protected her from harm. She also had the silver shoes of the Witch of the East. Since Dorethy didn't know the power she possessed, the Witch tried to take advantage of her. When the Witch got hold of one shoe, by tricking Dorethy, Dorethy got so made she threw water on the Witch. She melted from this.

The Winkies help save the Tinman. The Winkies fixed the TinMan. They even repaired his ax and refurbished the handle out of hold. After this the TinMan chopped the tree to get the Scarecrows clothes down. The Winkes took him back to the castle, and restuffed him with the best straw they could find. Then they decided to Ho back to Oz. However, the Winkies begged them to stay. But they bid them ado. Dorethy filled her basket with treats from the witches cupboard.

Dorethy called on the field mice to help them find the Yellow Brick Road. The Queen suggested, Dorethy to use the cap because they could get them there in about an hour. So she did. On the trip she asked the Monkey King why they had to obey the wearer of the crown. He told her about the mischief they used to cause. There lived a beautiful and great sorcerus in the North. She helped people with all her magic. She was called Gayellete. She never hurt anyone. She was extremely lonely though. At last she found a boy, named Quelala. When Quelala grew up, was the best and wisest man.

The Winged Monkeys lived by the castle and loved to joke and play tricks. They dropped the prince in the water, on his wedding day. The water ruined his clothes, but he survived. The princess grew angry at the monkeys. She tied their wings. Knowing that would kill them the leader begged hard to have another punishment. So they got another, they had to grant three wishes for the crown. The monkeys were sent to stay away from her, which they gladly accepted because they were afraid of her. The story was completed as they reached the Emerald City.

The travellers were back in the Emerald City. Greeted by the same man, they told him they melted the Witch of the West. There was a huge parade that followed them to the Wizards Palace. They waited for days, then the Scarecrow sent a message to the Wizard that if he didn't see them they'd send the flying monkey's after him. So he asked to see them at nine the next morning. The Wizard did not show himself when they entered the throne room. He said to visit tomorrow while he considered what he should do. The Scarecrow responded with "You had many days already." The Lion roared to scare him, that knocked the curtain down, and the saw The Wizard was just a man. The TinMan was ready to strike the man with his ax, but he said please don't and the TinMan put his ax down. The Scarecrow called him a humbug. He explained all the forms he showed up in were just illusions.

He was a balloonist, a person who got people to go to events. One day his balloon got away and came to Oz. The people of the land thought he was a great wizard, so he played along. He told them to build the Emerald City and his palace. He ordered the people to wear green spectacles. The Witches protected everyone from their East and West counterparts.

He said to the Scarecrow experiance is what gives you brains. To the Lion he said everyone is afraid of something, to have courage you must act even when you are afraid. To the TinMan he said that a heart makes you sad more often then not. To Dorethy he asked her, to give him a few days and he would figure something out.

The Wizard took the Scarecrows head off to put the brains in the right place. He mixed bran and needles in the Scarecrows head and put it on. The Scarecrow thanked the Wizard. Those nails sticking out of his head were proof that he was sharp, the Lion stated.

Next the TinMan went in to get his heart. The Wizard had to cut a hole in his chest. The the Wizard got a heart from his drawer made of silk and string stuffed with sawdust. The TinMan asked if it was a kind heart. To which the Wizard replied it was.

Then the Lion walked in for his courage. The Wizard put green liquid in a dish and for the Lion drink. He asked what it was. To which the Wizard responded "If it were in you, it would be courage. You know, of course, that courage is always inside you, so that this really cannot be courage until you have swallowed it. Therefore I advise you to drink it as soon as possible. So the Lion drank it. "How do you feel" asked Oz, "Full of courage," said the Lion.

The Wizard said he would make a balloon for Dorethy and himself to get back to civilization. There was no helium to make the balloon fly. So they were going to fill it with hot air. The only problem with that was if the air got cold they would sink and be lost. But they had to try. They sewed different shades of green silk together to make a balloon within three days. He put glue over the silk to make it air tight. He put the Scarecrow in charge, while he was away, for he said he was visiting a brother Wizard of the sky. However Dorethy couldn't find Toto so she missed the balloon.

Everybody mourned Oz's departure. They all were proud to have Scarecrow as their new leader. The Scarecrow gave her the idea to ask the Flying Monkeys for help, for her travels to Kansas and they belonged to the country of Oz. Next they tried the Wise Green Soldier. He suggested they travel to see Glinda, the Witch of the South might be able to help. Dorethy had a long journey to the Which of the South. The Lion, Scarecrow and TinMan went with her of course.

The traveler's made it to an enchanted forest where the Scarecrow was thrown and landed on his head. Then the TinMan chopped a branch and scared all the trees. So they let them through. At the edge of the forest they found a high wall made of, what appeared to be, smooth white China. Because of this the TinMan made a ladder, so they could climb over.

Everything; the houses, fences, barns, animals and people were made of white China. The people wore white with yellow spots. Dorethy, the TinMan and the Lion got down by jumping on the Scarecrow after which they stuffed back into shape. The startled a cow, which broke its leg and dumped the bucket with milk, and the milkmaid was annoyed with them because now she had to get her cow fixed up.

It was difficult to walk for the grass was so thick. There were a lot of muddy holes. They had to be careful not to fall in for, the grass hid them from sight. They went through the field and found themselves in a thicker, older forest. The Lion felt right at home, but the Scarecrow was afraid. Dorethy, Toto and the Lion fell asleep for the night. As usual the Scarecrow and the TinMan stood guard.

They heard a low rumble after they awoke. Toto was the only one afraid. They kept going. Hundreds of beasts, of every kind, were making the rumble. However the Lion said they were just holding a meeting and by the sound of it they were in danger. A Tiger told the Lion about a huge beast like a spider was attacking them. The Lion asked if there were any other lions, to which the Tiger answered no, the monster ate them. So the Lion asked the Tiger to take good care of his friends while he fights the monster.

The great spider was laying asleep as the Lion approached. It was so ugly that the Lion turned away in disgust. He jumped on the monster as it slept and tore its head off. The Lion went back to his friends and the animals of the forest, and promised to return when Dorethy was on her way to Kansas.

On their travels to the Good Witch, they were stopped by a man with no arms or legs. After they were stopped and told they couldn't pass, they saw hundreds of them. The traveler's however went forth. The men laughed as the Scarecrow fell. The Lion became.so angry at that he let out a mighty roar. Dorethy ended up calling the winged monkeys, with her last golden cap wish, to help. They carried the travelors over part of the countryside. When they left them, they saw it was a beautiful countryside with fields of ripening grains, rippling brooks. Everything was painted the brightest shade of red the travellers had ever seen. The residents were short, fat and chubby but they appeared healthy and in fine spirits. When they knocked on a farmer's door, the wife opened it. She gave them a great and scrumptious dinner with a dessert of cookies and cakes. Toto even received a large bowl of milk. Dorethy asked how far Glinda's castle was. To which the farmer's wife responded it wasn't a dreat distance. Just take the road to the south and you shall reach it. They walked a little and soon reached it. They walked to it and saw two female guards. They told them they were there to see Glinda and were soon let in.

Before they saw the Good Witch, they were cleaned up as they were in Oz. Glinda wanted the Golden Cap in exchange for granting Dorethy's return to Kansas. She asked the Scarecrow what he will do to which he responded he will return to Oz, so with a wish from the golden cap, she returned to Oz by way of the Flying Monkeys. Then she asked the TinMan who thought for a moment and said he shall go rule over the Winkies, since they wanted him to rule over them when the Wicked Witch died. Her second wish on the crown were for the monkey were to take the TinMan to the Winkies. Now she asked the Lion who wanted to go back to the forest, where he was going to rule. So her third wish on the crown was for the monkeys to take the Lion over the Hammerheads and to the forest he was asked to rule. Then the Good Witch gave the Crown to the king of the Flying Monkeys. The Witch asked Dorethy what she wanted. She said to go back to Kansas. To which the Good Which said you had the ability all along. Just click your heals together, and say, "There's no place like home." So she clicked her heals, and said, "Take me home, to Aunt Em."
