Outpost of Jupiter

Lester del Rey

"The impossible only takes a little longer to come true."

This story mixed facts with fiction about Jupiter.  Jupiter is eleven times the diameter of the Earth. It is nearly five million miles from the sun. It is eleven times the diameter of the Earth. Its gravity is 400 times less. The crust is 600 miles of an unknown substance. The pressure is ten times greater than the ocean. Its normal temperature is twenty degrees below zero. Its atmosphere Methane and has ammonia crystal  clouds. This book has 191 pages. I read this story from Monday July 15 to Thursday July 25.

It has four moons that were discovered in 1610 by Galileo.  The moons are called Io, Europa, Ganymede and Calisto.  They all are about the size of Mars. Calisto is made of an unknown frozen liquid. It is half the weight of our moon. All the moons are airless and frozen which makes the study of them nearly impossible.

Ganymede is the most promising to be able to study. It is 3,300 miles in diameter and its gravity is similar to our moon. Procylon,  was going a million miles an hour to Titan. The main crew was Captain Rokoff, Cheif Engineer Haikato, and Cheif Navigator Andrews. The other main characters were Red, Bob and his father. Penny was a rambunctious girl. Reds parent's died.

The Procyon was hit by many asteroids. They actually caused the ship to lose some air and took out one of the bio-domes. They were able to fix the shields, however the amount of damage was unknown.  The captain had entertained the idea that this was not astroids but an actual space pirates attack. Bob, however believed a ship hit the dome and took it.

Jupiter's big red spot is bigger than the entire crust on Earth. It had disappeared several times and shrank. Since the Procyon c9uld on the oceans surface it had no trouble landing on Ganymede. There were over 3000 people on Ganymede.  They were on a search of new plant life and animals. They could have another city in approximately ten years.

Bobs father was sick and could be cured due the gravity on Ganymede and a plant found there. He was being grounded because of his condition.

Bob majored in applied linguistics which studied the differences of language and found there were not many. Bob was taking a few semester's off in caring for his father, and he feared that he would be so behind due to this. Mankind had recently created a new language to communicate with machines. This speech had a basis in mathematics. People yet had no basis to compare non Earth languages. Red was sorry Bob had to stay and he would miss his schooling, but he would make a good colonist of him yet. Bob attempted to create a language to communicate with aliens called the Jovians, in the sphere that was detached from the ship, his attempt failed.

Bob was bored while his father worked so he was taken to see the mayor to find out what he could do. He was used as a clerk. When Bob got paid, he bought a suit to go out on the planet in.

Bob's friend Penny was the daughter of a friend. She said the people who broke the bubble on the ship came to the outpost as well.

Living on Jupiter cause abnormally slow aging. The regeneration wasn't only with age, but with health as well. The mayor wanted a list of all the individuals Bob, his father and Red have talked to without a suit.

Penny found diamonds wnd Red and Bob were curious about where she found them so they followed her the next time she disappeared. They found the ship that took the bubble off Bob's ship. Penny traveled there many times. She befriended it, because it was giving her presents.

Bob caught the disease on the planet, it was like the flu. Because of this Earth declared Earth a quarantine planet. However the diease proved to be non contagious. Sanchez was Bobs assistant in the hospital. The antidote from Earth would arrive to late to help a lot of the population. There was a interplanetary plague like this ever sinse the Martian fever.

Penny got lost, leading to Kirby yelling at her, he asked her to stop acting like a baby. So she took them to see the globe.  She was a baby when the sphere first called to her. The aliens in the sphere were dying. They had the same disease as the people of the town had. Kirby wanted to open it by blowing it up. This started a frenzy in the town. Three month's later a ship arrived with a cure. The Jovains were cured so they left. They found that people who survived the plague had a longer life expectancy.

Paranorman: The Beginning

Paranorman is a book about a school age kid,who can hear and see all dead things: both human and animal. This story is by Elizabeth Cody Kimmel. It has 54 pages. I started reading it on Wednesday April 3, 2013. I finished it on April 9, 2013.

As soon as Norman was born, at one in the morning, the hospital had a blackout, there was a strange dog howl for miles around and two guys saw a rainbow, shaped like a question mark, after their shift at a restaurant known as Witchy Weiner.

When he was 13, he found he had the ability to communicate with the dead, and that dead animals had a lot more to say then there human companions. He found that out in a science class while they were dissecting frogs. Items were disappearing from his class, a hamster, Norman introduced the frog to Alvin. Alvin was the classroom bully. Then he introduced the frog to Selma, who was the brain of the class. The frog was trying to tell Norman he wanted a proper grave.

Neil Gorman, the student who mostly got bullied, said to Norman to shut up, because of the fact that he would get bullied immensely for days to a week following. Norman didn't pay him any mind. Alan taunted Norman, saying he was a frog whisperer.

Norman has been both hearing and seeing the dead for as long as he could remember. But he started communicating with them only when his Grandmother died a year ago. He didn't mind being made fun of. He even had the status of an outcast.

The hamster came out from the back of the cage. No one recognized it and it started a huge commotion in the classroom. Norman pulled the.fire alarm and he took advantage of this  commotion and put the frog under his arm and he went out of the classroom. He slipped out of the school and went to a swampy area of the school yard and let the frog loose.

Norman and his sister Courtney missed their grandmother very much. She died at a very old age. Normans father was afraid his crazy brother would attend. His father hated the wrong type of attention being drawn to them, although that happened a lot when Norman was around. In the funeral home Norman was the main attraction for the spirits. He was not there, for more than ten minutes and the conversations started.

Norman was getting refreshments to disguise his conversations with the spirits. A man was was trying to get in, however the funeral home director wasn't letting him in on account of his poor dress was not appropriate for the get together. He then saw Norman and wanted to talk to him. The man actually was conversing with the ghosts that Norman was conversing with. Norman ended up screaming though, "All of you leave me alone." Alvin, from his class, was there, and responded to this by saying, "Dude your the only one standing there. Who you talking to the vegetable dip?" Normans father was severely embarrassed.

A morning after the funeral, Grandma Babcock was watching a Zombie movie with Norman. She walked through a solid wall another morning as casually as walking through a door. She's been doing this for approximately eleven months, now and showed no sign of wanting to leave. Norman was asked to take the trash out by his father, during the Zombie movie he was watching. Then Norman was asked why he couldn't be "normal' and put a tent up in the yard or save his allowance money and get something cool? He responded with "I like Zombies." He even brushed his teeth with a Zombie toothbrush and had the toothpaste foam out of his mouth. His room was covered with Zombie posters. Norman told his father, Grandma wanted the heat up. Courtney Norman to prove grandma was talking to him.

Norman never liked to flaunt his connection to the dead. But his sister was really begging him, so he told her she had pictures of the varsity football quarterback shirtless in her underwear drawer. Courtney embarrassedly charged out of the kitchen, her parents couldn't hide their devilish smiles. Normans mother said that at least she was in a better place, to which Norman said, "What in the living room." After that he went back to watching the movie with his Grandma. He had to explain a few parts of the movie to her. After the movie was over Norman wished his Grandma good night and went to bed. He heard his parents from upstairs saying, "I hope he hasn't got what his crazy uncle got." His father got more annoyed when the incident that occurred in the funeral home got out to the rest of the neighborhood. When Norman went up to his room and heard what his parents were saying about him, he was communicating subliminally with a moth.

Norman dreamt about the mysterious man outside the funeral home. He was looking at pictures in Normans room, however Norman couldn't make them out. He awoke and had to collect himself, because of this he missed breakfast and rushed out to school. But he was late, and he hated that. He saw the usual ghosts on the way to school. He almost crashed into a ghost of a military man and his horse. He then saw a dead raccoon and said, "Your new." The raccoon pointed to a corner with no stop sign. Norman said "There used to be a sign, but someone hit it."

Norman found the word "freak" on his locker when he got to school after being knocked down by some Lacrosse players. Math was canceled for pageant rehearsal, which Norman hated. It was in the gym which smelled like sweat and old rubber as usual, but was worse in the morning. The pageant was staged with bad artwork from the colonial era. Norman was of course cast as the first narrator.

Selma, Normans friend was arguing with Mrs. Hershal about her costume. She was the only student, Norman knew, who would stand up and argue teachers. Then something strange happened, even for Normans standards. The script turned into parchment. The rest of his friends momentarily transformed into pilgrims. Then the real world emerged once more.

Norman sensed someone was chasing him. It was his friend Neil. They were both ridiculed by Alvin and his gang. They heard a man whisper "hey," from behind a statue in the town square. Norman and the weird man could both see ghost. On the 300th anniversary, which was coming up the gate between the living world and the dead.world would be open. Norman was one that could stop this. Neil rescued Norman by throwing an apple at the man.

Norman told Neal that he saw dead people. Neal was thrilled. He asked Norman if he could come over and find his dead dogs spirit. Norman saw the dead dog cut in half. Norman played "phantom" fetch with Neil and.his dog all after noon.

When Norman got home, he had a ton of homework and to learn lines for the play. Selma called, because they were lab partners, she wanted to make sure everything was alright. He dreamt of the weird guy showing him some books, and then woke up. The next dream he had  of doing the play in his underwear. In the real play he checked to make sure he had all of his costume off. From that moment, things went horrific down ally bad.

Norman, then saw a huge owl, then the gym ceiling crackles and disintegrated. Then Norman was magically teleported to the oldest part of the woods, just outside of town. He was in the middle of a witch hunt. The villagers started chasing him.

After Norman was back, he started screaming, "The dead are coming," and jumped off the stage. A mass panic arose, followed by laughter. After that Norman and his family went home and he was.grounded, just for being who he was.

The whole school was laughing at Norman the next day. If he thought he knew misery before, this was a whole new meaning. He only could get a moment to himself in the bathroom. Someone came in and he went up on the toilet seat to hide. Then his role of toilet paper suddenly began to be undone. Norman wondered what was going on. Then the toilet began to shutter violently. The water started spilling out. The face of the old man, Prendergast, appeared in the bowl. He gave him a book with business for him to finish.

Alphas

A radical transformation is on its way, it is as though the human brain is developing a new set of skills, significant change in its hardware since the appearance of language. A third wave of human adaptation. These so-called alphas are everywhere, but most have no idea that they are part of a larger phenomena. For reasons that date back to the cold war, policy makers have insisted on keeping this information from the public. Officially my mandate is to supervise a group of aphas, as they assist with cases suggesting alpha activity. But my goal remains the same, to help understand these very special people, and the revolutionary developments to the human brain.

WIZARD OF OZ

BY L FRANK BAUM

Dorothy brought laughter into Aunt Em and Uncle Henry's house. It was so long since they laughed that Henry forgot what laughter and fun were because of working so hard in the fields. Also Henry and Aunt Em were both gray from age and work and lack of fun. Henry looked solumn and stern and hardly ever spoke.Toto gave life to Dorethy and caused her to laugh and have fun. They played all day.

When the cyclone first appeared Uncle Henry ran to check on the animals in the barn. When Aunt Em ran to the storm celler with Dorothy Toto jumped out of her arms, so she ran to chase him.Dorethy never made it to the storm celler.

The house swirled around. Dorethy felt as if she was in a balloon. The house was carried as if it was light as a feather. Dorethy also felt like a baby in a crib. Toto didn't like what was happening. Toto fell out, but the wind pressure kept him up. Dorethy went to sleep to await the house to stop.

Dorethy was awakened by a shock that was so harsh that she would have fell out of bed if she wasn't in it. She ran to her door to open it. She went out and was welcomed by the Munchkins. Dorethy killed the Wicked Witch of the East and the Munchkins were overjoyed.

The land of Oz not being civilized still had wizards and witches. Oz is the greatest wizard who lived in the Emerald City. The Witch of West ruled over the Winkes in the West.

Dorethy must go to the center of the country to Oz. The Witch of the North will use all the magic she knows to protect Dorethy. No one would injure Dorethy for the Witch gave her a kiss.

Dorethy buttered some bread for her and Toto, then got fruit which completed her breakfast. She had only one dress. She took off her old leather worn shoes and put on the Witches silver shoes. The Munchkins houses all were blue, for that was the counties favorite color

At night, she went in the fields and found a party at a wealthy Munchkins house and a table with delicious food which she ate at. They were celebrating the demise of the Wicked Witch and their newly gained freedom.

They were pleased to see her wear blue and white, for blue was the color of Munchkins and white good witches

She wandered off the path at night and found a Munchkin named Boq having a party celebrating the defeat of the wicked witch. Boq let her rest in a room when she grew. When she woke she ate breakfast. She had to rest after several miles of the journey and climbed a fence and sat She saw a scarecrow. The Scarecrow winked and then nodded at Dorethy. Toto ran up and barked at him. He wasn't feeling well with the pole up his back. Dorethy managed to take him down.

The Yellow Brick Road road got scary. It had holes in it, which caused the Scarecrow to stumble and fall. However his humour made him laugh and kept him from embarrassment. At noon, Dorethy sat and ate lunch from her basket. She offered some to the Scarecrow who refused for having no stomach. The Scarecrow asked why she wished to go back to to Kansas because it was so grey. To which she responded because her loved ones were there. Dorethy asked him to tell her a story because he was made two days ago.

He tried to tell her about how he was made. His maker made him, and he luckily put his eyes in first, so he could see around him. His maker then painted the rest of his face on. He tried to walk after his maker was done with him, but found that he couldn't because of the pole stuck in his back. The crows soon became unafraid of him, because he couldn't get them.

It had become evening and Dorethy couldn't see, but Toto and the Scarecrow could. Dorethy asked if they could see a house or anyplace we could stop, could we stop? They found a place and Dorethy and Toto were soon fast asleep. The Scarecrow, who had no need for sleep stood guard.

When Dorethy awoke she and the Scarecrow searched for water, so she could bathe and have a drink with her bread. While they were getting water they heard a groan. Dorethy ran to the cottage, they had just spent the night in, and got the oil can for the Tin Man and oiled his joints. The Tin Man then joined the party to Oz and was going to ask for a heart, for he once had one. He almost married a Munchkin girl. However he was stopped by her mother. She needed assistance cooking and cleaning, and didn't want her daughter to get married and leave. She made a deal with the Wicked Witch of the East and gave her two sheep and a cow if she would prevent the marriage. The Witch caused the Tin Man ax to slip, chopping off his left leg. He went to.the Tinner and he fixed him up. Then the witch slowly caused him to be all tin, by having him cut off all his parts. This being done he lost his love for the Munchkin girl.

They were going through a creepy dark part of the yellow brick road. They met the cowardly lion. The Tin Man cried that he crushed a bug, because he valued all life. He cried a bit and rusted from it. No one understood him when he asked to be oiled, except the Scarecrow, so he oiled him. That taught the Tin Man to look where he was going. For if he started to cry, he would rust. He knew he had no heart so he would.attempt not to be cruel or unkind to anything.

That night they camped out, for there were no houses near. The Tin Man chopped wood and Dorethy built a fire. The Lion said he would kill an animal for Dorethy's breakfast, to which she refused, because the Tin Man would cry. So the Lion went out and ate alone. The Scarecrow found some nuts on a tree and got them down for Dorethy. The Scarecrow dropped some because hands were just straw so he couldn't grip well. Dorethy was honored that he tried.

When they awoke they found a new obsticle before them. They found a deep stream. The Lion thought he could jump it with one of them on his back. To test he first took the Scarecrow. The Lion was able to, so he took everyone in the party over.

They came to another chasm which was bigger, so the Scarecrow said why the Tin Man could cut a tree and we could across it. Two tigers chased them as they crossed the bridge.

They sailing on a river they had to cross. They sailed to far from the land and were scared, they would sail to close to the wicked witch's territory, and become in a trance. The Scarecrows pole got stuck at the bottom of the river making him stuck. They were afraid they lost him. The Lion dragged the boat to shore.

A stork was flying by and asked where they were going. Dorethy said to Oz and asked the stork to save the scarecrow. The stork agreed and said she would try. The stork managed to rescue him. Then they found the field of poppies. Dorethy didn't know poppies made you sleep, so she fell asleep in the field. The Tin Man carried her out. The Lion who was getting tired had to run out of the field.because he couldn't be carried. The Lion didn't make it. They found him fast asleep.

The Tin Man saved a field mouse from a wild cat by chopping his head off. The mouse was the Queen of the field mice. The Queen made her horde serve the Tin Man and grant his every wish. Toto awoke and started chasing the mice, as he did in Kansas. The Queen asked if he would bite. To which the Tin Man responded he won't allow him to.

The Tin Man couldn't come up with anything to wish for, so the Scarecrow said the Queen could rescue the Lion, in the poppyfield. The Tinman made a cart out of wood and each mouse in the Queens horde brought some string to pull the cart. Dorethy awoke from her long sleep and the Scarecrow filled her in on what was happening. All the mice returned with pieces of string within there mouth and they tied to their necks. They tied one end to their necks and the other to the cart and they were able to pull it quite easily. Then the Scarecrow and the Tin Man put the Lion on the cart quite easily. Dorethy thanked the mice because of their heroic feat, of saving the Lion. The Queen said if they ever needed their help again to just call out and she will come.

They spent the night with some Munchkins, who were first scared of the Lion, until Dorethy promised he was a tame lion. They gave Dorethy some.porage and eggs for dinner and Toto some bread. Dorethy said they were on there way to see Oz. However they said no one ever saw Oz, in fact no one even knew what he looked like. The Munchkins are all scared of his grandness. They say he takes on many forms.

The next morning they continued they're journey to Oz. Before long they saw the beautiful green glow of the Emerald City. However it took them all morning to reach it. There was a bell to enter the city. The gate opened when the rang it. There was a little green man, about the size of a Munchkin that met them as they entered. They told him they wanted to see Oz. He responded, it has been many year since anyone has seen Oz, let alone asked to see him. Oz was so bright the man gave them glasses.

Only one was admitted to see the Wizard alone. They had luxurious sweets to stay in until the Wizard was ready for them. In Dorethy's room she found a fountain of green tinted perfume water, and green books and all the dresses in the wardrobe fit her exactly. The same nicitys were in the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lions room.

Oz appeared to Dorethy as a great head, and asked Dorethy where she got her shoes, she told him and she told him about the kiss from the Witch of the North. The Wizard asked Dorethy to kill the Wicked Witch of the West and he will grant her wish. Oz appeared to the Scarecrow as a beautiful woman and asked the same. The TinMan saw Oz as a horrific beast. It was the size of an elephant, it had a rhinoceros head with five eyes. It had five arms and five legs as well. It also had a thick woolly coat. The lion saw him as a great ball of fire. The same condition was given to all of them, to kill the Wicked Witch of the West.

Dorethys dress turned white when they left Oz. They soon left the houses and the land wasn't taken care of. Dorethey, the Lion and Toto slpt after that with the TinMan and the Scarecrow standing watch. The Wicked Witch had only one eye, but could see through it like a telescope. She first set her wolves on them. The TinMan tookbcare of them by chopping their heads off. In the morning Dorethy thanked him for saving them. This made the Witch madder. She called her crows and set them on the travelers. This time the Scarecrow protected them by scaring them away.

The Witch sent a sworn of bees to sting them. The Scarecrow said "Take my straw out and scatter it over the girl, the Lion and Toto," which prevented them from being seen, this caused the bees not to sting them, Then Dorethy helped the TinMan put the scarecrow back together. The Witch called her slaves the Winkes and set them on the travelers. The Lion roared and scared them away. She then used her magical golden cup which was in her cupboard to call upon the flying monkeys to kill all but the Lion, for she would put him to work for her. They picked up the TinMan and through him on jagged rocks, where he became all dented and couldn't move or grown. The flying monkeys picked the Scarecrow apart. They threw rope around the Lion and on a tall tree, so he couldn't get away. Then they carried him to the Whiches castle. They only could carry Dorethy, because she had the Good Witches kiss, and that protected her from harm. She also had the silver shoes of the Witch of the East. Since Dorethy didn't know the power she possessed, the Witch tried to take advantage of her. When the Witch got hold of one shoe, by tricking Dorethy, Dorethy got so made she threw water on the Witch. She melted from this.

The Winkies help save the Tinman. The Winkies fixed the TinMan. They even repaired his ax and refurbished the handle out of hold. After this the TinMan chopped the tree to get the Scarecrows clothes down. The Winkes took him back to the castle, and restuffed him with the best straw they could find. Then they decided to Ho back to Oz. However, the Winkies begged them to stay. But they bid them ado. Dorethy filled her basket with treats from the witches cupboard.

Dorethy called on the field mice to help them find the Yellow Brick Road. The Queen suggested, Dorethy to use the cap because they could get them there in about an hour. So she did. On the trip she asked the Monkey King why they had to obey the wearer of the crown. He told her about the mischief they used to cause. There lived a beautiful and great sorcerus in the North. She helped people with all her magic. She was called Gayellete. She never hurt anyone. She was extremely lonely though. At last she found a boy, named Quelala. When Quelala grew up, was the best and wisest man.

The Winged Monkeys lived by the castle and loved to joke and play tricks. They dropped the prince in the water, on his wedding day. The water ruined his clothes, but he survived. The princess grew angry at the monkeys. She tied their wings. Knowing that would kill them the leader begged hard to have another punishment. So they got another, they had to grant three wishes for the crown. The monkeys were sent to stay away from her, which they gladly accepted because they were afraid of her. The story was completed as they reached the Emerald City.

The travellers were back in the Emerald City. Greeted by the same man, they told him they melted the Witch of the West. There was a huge parade that followed them to the Wizards Palace. They waited for days, then the Scarecrow sent a message to the Wizard that if he didn't see them they'd send the flying monkey's after him. So he asked to see them at nine the next morning. The Wizard did not show himself when they entered the throne room. He said to visit tomorrow while he considered what he should do. The Scarecrow responded with "You had many days already." The Lion roared to scare him, that knocked the curtain down, and the saw The Wizard was just a man. The TinMan was ready to strike the man with his ax, but he said please don't and the TinMan put his ax down. The Scarecrow called him a humbug. He explained all the forms he showed up in were just illusions.

He was a balloonist, a person who got people to go to events. One day his balloon got away and came to Oz. The people of the land thought he was a great wizard, so he played along. He told them to build the Emerald City and his palace. He ordered the people to wear green spectacles. The Witches protected everyone from their East and West counterparts.

He said to the Scarecrow experiance is what gives you brains. To the Lion he said everyone is afraid of something, to have courage you must act even when you are afraid. To the TinMan he said that a heart makes you sad more often then not. To Dorethy he asked her, to give him a few days and he would figure something out.

The Wizard took the Scarecrows head off to put the brains in the right place. He mixed bran and needles in the Scarecrows head and put it on. The Scarecrow thanked the Wizard. Those nails sticking out of his head were proof that he was sharp, the Lion stated.

Next the TinMan went in to get his heart. The Wizard had to cut a hole in his chest. The the Wizard got a heart from his drawer made of silk and string stuffed with sawdust. The TinMan asked if it was a kind heart. To which the Wizard replied it was.

Then the Lion walked in for his courage. The Wizard put green liquid in a dish and for the Lion drink. He asked what it was. To which the Wizard responded "If it were in you, it would be courage. You know, of course, that courage is always inside you, so that this really cannot be courage until you have swallowed it. Therefore I advise you to drink it as soon as possible. So the Lion drank it. "How do you feel" asked Oz, "Full of courage," said the Lion.

The Wizard said he would make a balloon for Dorethy and himself to get back to civilization. There was no helium to make the balloon fly. So they were going to fill it with hot air. The only problem with that was if the air got cold they would sink and be lost. But they had to try. They sewed different shades of green silk together to make a balloon within three days. He put glue over the silk to make it air tight. He put the Scarecrow in charge, while he was away, for he said he was visiting a brother Wizard of the sky. However Dorethy couldn't find Toto so she missed the balloon.

Everybody mourned Oz's departure. They all were proud to have Scarecrow as their new leader. The Scarecrow gave her the idea to ask the Flying Monkeys for help, for her travels to Kansas and they belonged to the country of Oz. Next they tried the Wise Green Soldier. He suggested they travel to see Glinda, the Witch of the South might be able to help. Dorethy had a long journey to the Which of the South. The Lion, Scarecrow and TinMan went with her of course.

The traveler's made it to an enchanted forest where the Scarecrow was thrown and landed on his head. Then the TinMan chopped a branch and scared all the trees. So they let them through. At the edge of the forest they found a high wall made of, what appeared to be, smooth white China. Because of this the TinMan made a ladder, so they could climb over.

Everything; the houses, fences, barns, animals and people were made of white China. The people wore white with yellow spots. Dorethy, the TinMan and the Lion got down by jumping on the Scarecrow after which they stuffed back into shape. The startled a cow, which broke its leg and dumped the bucket with milk, and the milkmaid was annoyed with them because now she had to get her cow fixed up.

It was difficult to walk for the grass was so thick. There were a lot of muddy holes. They had to be careful not to fall in for, the grass hid them from sight. They went through the field and found themselves in a thicker, older forest. The Lion felt right at home, but the Scarecrow was afraid. Dorethy, Toto and the Lion fell asleep for the night. As usual the Scarecrow and the TinMan stood guard.

They heard a low rumble after they awoke. Toto was the only one afraid. They kept going. Hundreds of beasts, of every kind, were making the rumble. However the Lion said they were just holding a meeting and by the sound of it they were in danger. A Tiger told the Lion about a huge beast like a spider was attacking them. The Lion asked if there were any other lions, to which the Tiger answered no, the monster ate them. So the Lion asked the Tiger to take good care of his friends while he fights the monster.

The great spider was laying asleep as the Lion approached. It was so ugly that the Lion turned away in disgust. He jumped on the monster as it slept and tore its head off. The Lion went back to his friends and the animals of the forest, and promised to return when Dorethy was on her way to Kansas.

On their travels to the Good Witch, they were stopped by a man with no arms or legs. After they were stopped and told they couldn't pass, they saw hundreds of them. The traveler's however went forth. The men laughed as the Scarecrow fell. The Lion became.so angry at that he let out a mighty roar. Dorethy ended up calling the winged monkeys, with her last golden cap wish, to help. They carried the travelors over part of the countryside. When they left them, they saw it was a beautiful countryside with fields of ripening grains, rippling brooks. Everything was painted the brightest shade of red the travellers had ever seen. The residents were short, fat and chubby but they appeared healthy and in fine spirits. When they knocked on a farmer's door, the wife opened it. She gave them a great and scrumptious dinner with a dessert of cookies and cakes. Toto even received a large bowl of milk. Dorethy asked how far Glinda's castle was. To which the farmer's wife responded it wasn't a dreat distance. Just take the road to the south and you shall reach it. They walked a little and soon reached it. They walked to it and saw two female guards. They told them they were there to see Glinda and were soon let in.

Before they saw the Good Witch, they were cleaned up as they were in Oz. Glinda wanted the Golden Cap in exchange for granting Dorethy's return to Kansas. She asked the Scarecrow what he will do to which he responded he will return to Oz, so with a wish from the golden cap, she returned to Oz by way of the Flying Monkeys. Then she asked the TinMan who thought for a moment and said he shall go rule over the Winkies, since they wanted him to rule over them when the Wicked Witch died. Her second wish on the crown were for the monkey were to take the TinMan to the Winkies. Now she asked the Lion who wanted to go back to the forest, where he was going to rule. So her third wish on the crown was for the monkeys to take the Lion over the Hammerheads and to the forest he was asked to rule. Then the Good Witch gave the Crown to the king of the Flying Monkeys. The Witch asked Dorethy what she wanted. She said to go back to Kansas. To which the Good Which said you had the ability all along. Just click your heals together, and say, "There's no place like home." So she clicked her heals, and said, "Take me home, to Aunt Em."

Alphas

This show was fantastic. It was about a group who had these extraordinary abilities. One girl could smell and taste everything. One guy had excellent aim. One guy could see all electronic signals as pictures. Another girl could make people do exactly as she wanted, but only simple things.

High school is full of challenges.Everything from grades to body development. This story is about Russels and Kevin who come out to eachother. It's written by Brent Hartinger. Hartinger is the founder of a gay and lesbian community center in Tacoma, Washington. He is a talented playwright as well as an author. It has 15 chapters and 226 pages. I read this book in three days: January 25, 2013-January 28, 2013.

Russel was petrified of coming out, even to his two best friends. He took showers after gym and felt like a soldier among enemies. That is until he made plans to meet with a student, who he met online, at the playground. It was Kevin Land.
Russell is in the lockeroom after his shower and afraid the boys would figure out he was gay.

Mrs. Toll was having a heated conversion with the Reverend and the principal about her showing kids how to use a condom on a cucumber. The school got rid of Ms. Toll, because she wouldn't stop defending her idea of putting a condom dispenser in the bathrooms.

Russel, Min, Terrese and Kevin started the Geography club, because it would be the only way for them to meet safely and talk about stuff that was on their minds. The club would meet twice a week. Anything said in the group stayed in the  group.

Russel agreed to go on a double date with Gunnar which turned into three. Trish tried to kiss Russel. They went to Trishs parents beachhouse for the third date. Russel thought they were going to the movies as they did the for the first and second double date.

Someone else wanted to join the group. Belinda joined the geography club, which killed the gossip and hanging out.
Russel joined the baseball team to be close to Kevin.

Trish kissed Russel. She wanted to have sex with him as well.
Kevin kissed Russel later that night. Kevin wanted to kiss Russel ever since they met, which surprised him.

All the baseball players were chewing tobacco, so Russel was trying it, but hated it.

Belinda came late to the next geography club meeting. So they expanded the meaning of the club to being an outsider. Belinda became the token draught member.

Russel won the first baseball game. At school people were awwed by Russ winning the game. At lunch he was 50 cents short, the lunch lady let him go. Russ went back into the school to get books. He heard voices in the hallway. Jeered and Nolan to baseball jocks, had stayed late to practice their hitting. Brian Bond, the kid everyone thought was gay, came down the stairs.
Jeered and Nolan saw him. They made fun of him, and Russ joined in. Min came down as well, she glared at Russ. Min didn't talk to Russ all afternoon and the next day and sat with her old girlscout friends at lunch.

Min wanted to reach out to Brien Bundle, who was an outsider as well. They voted on it, and it didn't pass.

Trish, Gun, Russ, and Kimberly went out to get pizza. They surprised Russ by going to Kimberlys parents cabin that night.
Russel wanted to go home. Gun didn't want to. Kevin picked him up when he called.

At lunch, someone smeared lipstick and rouge on Brian Bund and pushed him in the cafatera to thunderous laughter.

The geography club was no more, because Min wanted to help Brian Bund and her vote didn't pass again.

Russel thought Gun told everyone he was a fag. They were going to try to put the geography club back together. Jered told Russel, everyone thought he was gay.

He was eating lunch with Brien Bund, and getting advice to deal with life now, not always hope for the future. Kevin wasn't talking to Russel. Gun didn't start the rumer, Kimberly did.

Min apologized to Russel. Kevin left Russel, because he was afraid the kids would think he was gay. Kevin wanted to get back together with Russel, but Russel said no.

Gun came over to apologize for how he acted the other night.Gun knew he was gay for five years and was cool with it.

Jerrad apoligezed for yesterday, calling him a fag, which surprised Russel. Brien applied for a gay straight club.

Russel sat at Brians table yet again. The geography club turned into a gay-straight allience.

This book was one of the best non-startrek books I read in a long time. It was about a Russels coming out and all the troubles he had in high school. I really felt what that Russel was going through.

Micro

The micro world is all around us. We may not think about it or see it but it does exist. The book was partly written by Michael Crichton and Richard Preston. They both are Science Fiction writers. The book is split into three parts; Tensor, A Band of Humans, and Tantalus. I read it from December 14-31, 2012. It has 529 pages. This was an adventurous book. The micro-world is an ever growing, ever expanding world.

The main characters were graduate students from Cambridge University. Rick Hunter who was an ethnobotonist who studies medicines used by indigenous people. Karen King who was an arachnologist who is an expert in spiders, scorpions and mites. She was also skilled in martial arts. Peter Jansen who was an expert in venoms and envenomations. Erika Moll an entomoligist and coleopterist which is a beetle expert. Amar Singh was a botanist studying plant hormones. Jenny Linn who was a biochemest studying phermones the signaling scents used by animils and plants. Danny Minor was a doctorial student writing a thesis on scientific linguistic codes and paradigm transformation. I liked all the characters, since they all studied a different branch of science. Eric Jenson was the founder of Nanogen and the brother of Rick. This book reminded me of The Andromeda Strain.

Eric comes to Cambridge to ask Rick and his colleagues to come to Hawaii and work for him at Nanogen. He comes in three red convertables, which get everyone's attention. Nanogen is located near the Hawaiian rainforest, so it would be easier to get resources for making drugs.

Nanogen appeared to the public as a regular forty square foot warehouse. The company worked on the creation and improvement of nanotechnology. The smallest were about the size of a thumbtack. The only security the company has is a lock and key.

Marcus Rodriguez was a private investigator hired by Willy Fong for an unknown client. Rodriguez found the client bleeding from a gash which origins were not known. Three men were found dead of similar causes. The police were baffled.

Everyone in Peters family, except Eric, died in a plane crash. Eric struck it rich off a startup. Drug companies were the major backer.of Nanogen.Peter found a tiny model of an airplane in Erics car. After Eric left Cambridge, Peter called him up about this, and was told to bring it to Hawaii when he came. Peter was playing with it. Amar saw it, and asked Peter to see it. Peter gave it to Amar. Under magnification they saw it was very detailed.

Everyone thought Eric was bullshitting them, but that didn't stop them from going to Hawaii. Before they went to Hawaii, Eric sent Peter a text warning him not to come, however Peter never didn't get it until he landed in Hawaii. They learned Eric had a boating accident and went missing presumed dead. Ethenol was the probable cause of the accident. To add to this Eric had no life jacket and made no distress call, however he was an exceptionally strong swimmer.

Alyson Bender, VP and CFO of Nanogen, was standing on the hill overlooking the gulf, where Eric was lost. When questioned by the police, Peter denied knowing her.

When Peter went to the shipyard to look at Erics boat, a man yelled at him saying he needed to register in the office before he could be in the shipyard. Alyson identified him and he was let in.

The grad students met Vin Drake and he gave them a tour of the facility. He caused an alarm to go off and took the students to a room and shrank them. Drake dropped them into a bag and gave them to Alyson, who he told to drop them in the ocean. She was angry at him, because this whole thing was getting out of hand, so she dropped them in the grass not killing them as he wanted.

Vin Drake couldn't trust Alyson, because she carried Peter and his team out of the crate. He had to get rid of her, but couldn't now because all of the police there since Erics disappearance. She entertained the idea of dropping the bag in the surf, but decided against it.  Drake was going to blame their disappearance on alcohol.

A Band of Humans
The group wanted to go to the other Nanogen site for a better chance of becoming their normal size. It was only fifteen miles away, however to them it was a hundred times further.

They had to be very careful in the world they were in now. One thing they had to look out for were big headed ants, which are the most ferocious ant in the world. They found out they were a lot stronger in the Micro World. This helped with the perils they faced. They found a supply tent, which was put in place just in case of emergency. They were debating whether to call for help, however they decided against this, for fear of Drake overhearing. They found weapons in the tent which would help them survive the unexpected perils of this world.

Dan Makele, chief of Security, was taking care of the micro-tents, which were set up for micro teams. He was shaking the bunker which the students were in.

Jenny hurt herself bad, they were using a leaf as a stretcher. It started to rain, so they ran under leaves and somehow lost Jenny. They survived the rain, but with heavy losses.

They scared a mosqueto away with a harpoon. After that they got poison from a millipede. Then they took turn standing guard, while the others slept. They heard a Daddy Long Legs pass. They were awakened by Earthworms then heard bats.

They were attacked by a Centipede which trapped Amar on the roof, Karen distracted him, and Amar got down. They saw a butterfly feed off nectar and they did so as well.

They decided to go to Tantelis Base, another Biogen site, to hopefully find people to help them.
Danny woke up to.find himself in a wasps clutches. Karen and Erika jumped off a tree and went through a spiderweb. Amar wanted the group to leave him, he had the Bends and would slow the group down. Amar and Peter died of a sniper shot.

Tantalus

There was an unknown man who was shooting.
Rick didn't know if anyone was still alive. Karen was about to be shot. However, Rick saved her by killing him. A spider saved Karen. She hit it with a rock to make it madder, and he ate the gunman.

Rick, Erika, Karen and Danny were the only survivors. Terrible emptyness fell over them for their lost friends. The fact that Peter was dead really saddened them, because he was their leader. They took the Hexapod, and Rick stated the were driving to Tantalus.

Eric Jenson was at the gate of Nanogen. He couldn't get in to Biogen. He was listening for electronic chatter.

The police found Alyson Bender body. Alyson had Jennys wallet. The hunters who were hired to kill the students were presumed to be dead, so Drake was happy because at least he didn't have to pay them.Drake found out the Hexapod was going to Tantelis base. Amar wanted the group to leave him, he had the Bends and would slow the group up.

Rick was.dissecting a beetle for its poisonous pouch. Dorothy and Wanabe found a minature vacuum. Erika took a swim nude, Rick and Karen joined

Erika was eaten saving Karen, but she was ok in the birds digestive track. Erika lost consiousness when the bird landed. She was formulating a plan to get out. Rick recognized the bird when it came back looking for more food. Rick lodged a harpoon within the birds neck causing the bird to commit, and Karen came out

Dan Wanabe went to Nanogen other location.Makele was talking with Dan. Makele was the head of security at the other.office. Karen was looking for a spider to help Rick. Karen used Wasp venom to incapacitied a spider she needed for Rick. They finally got to Tantalus base.

Ben Rourke welcomed them. Ben was planning to chop Ricks arm off to prevent further infection.Rourke was one of the founders of Nanogen.
The biggest mysterious thing that came from the shrinking was lack of forming blood clots.

Karen was thinking about staying small

They were going to fly to Nanogen. They are going to be so small the shields are not going to register them. Everyone, except Danny, slept within a magnetic chamber.Daniel was outside.
His arm started coming off, a grub was transforming, he called Karen but the magnet she was in was sealed. So he called Drake through a computer but it was giving him trouble because it was after hours. Daniel told Drake all about the base as well as Rouke.

Danny went to the Tantelis branch of Nanogen. He flew between two people kissing by mistake. Then he almost collided with a moth.

Drake burned down the Tantalus site, just as Karen and Rick left. Rouke, unfortunately died. Eric came back looking for people; but couldn't find anyone so he left. Karen got his attention by blinking the lights on her plane and then landed in his hands. She communicated with him by use of her planes radio. She told him what happened to his brother. He took her back to Nangen. Then he was going to speak with Drake.

Drake sent bots after Rick and Karen. The bots cut through both their wings, making them both eject. A bot killed Rick by cutting through his forehead to his eye. Then the police arrived and were told what to expect by Eric. They asked Drake to come out immediately.

Eric and Drake fell in the generator. Drake landing on top of Eric. Eric got the controller and smashed it. They both lunged for the gun. Drake shot Eric in the thigh. Drake lied to Eric saying he did everything to save his brother.

Karen and Rick went in the Hexagon and became normal sized and the bot was the size of a refrigerator. Drake was locked in the generator with hundreds of Micro bots and big bot. The police called and he begged them to get him, however the gigantic bot killed Drake. They brought an industrial size magnet to get the bots out after they went through Decon. The big bot, however, drilled through the floor of the generator. Edward Catel was still in Nanogen. He took the data from Nanogen.

Karen saw a humpback from here camp on the beach with Rick. Karen was intent on finding a way back to the micro-world. Once something was invented it was out there. Karen saw a reflecting in the air and it could of been a plane.

The micro world has its own logic and adventures that appear to be much different then our own. They are just the same as ours in the normal sized world. However, that you are tiny, so they seem very magnified. This is only a perception.

Zombies, vampires and Warewolves where are we headed

The different times brought a new age of supernatural entities. In the 1950-1960 there were a lot of mutants that became such through a radiation accident, dracula and the like. In the 1970s posessions were in, The Exorcist. Followed in the 1980s by slashed and fairies, such as, Tinkerbell. Now there is ghost stories such as Ghost Hunters, which make death less scary.

Dr. Who

Dr. Who started in 1963. The TARDIS stands for time and relative dimension in space. Originally the TARDIS had a chameleon circuit inside of it, which would enable it to shapeshift to blend in to its surroundings.

Britain represented the Earth as in Startrek the United States represents the Earth. Surprisingly in 2011, Dr.Who outsold Modern Family and Glee. It  was closer to fantasy then science fiction show. Funny how it increased bowtie sales worldwide. When the doctor regenerates, a different actor plays him.

Next

"Welcome to our genitic world. Fast. Furious and out of control. This is not the world of the future. It's the world of the now."

"Next" is a fantastic book to end the Michaels reign of the pen and a great way to hang up his writing gloves. I will surely miss his writing style as well as his directing style. He has written such masterpieces as Jurrasic Park and The Lost World, which were made into movies.

"Next,"  is the last book he wrote, with such an appropriate title was about the genetic world, and what is happening, and also he discusses what will happen if we are not careful and cautious.

In almost all of his books, they were in some way having to do with science which is probably because he was a medical student in his youth.

Most of his books begins with some quotation. The quote that started this book so masterfully is: "The more the universe seems comprehensible the more it also seems pointless."

To me this means, the more we pay attention to the details, the interest that the larger picture dwindled. This describes life in all ways. The more you figit with the little things, the more the pointlessness of reality takes hold. For instance, in a puzzle, when you work on a particular section you can't really see the whole picture, until you have finished with the whole layout. However sometimes you cannot figure out the whole picture if you haven't done of the details to the best of your knowledge.

The story begins with the discovery of a novelty gene, D4DR, which is in charge of thrill seeking behaviour. It also makes reference to some of the Chimpanzees man experiments that were conducted under both Stalin and Hitler. Then the story continues to a conference called "Make it happen now."

It then is back to the interactionof a Chimpanzees boy at school and how he gets terrorized at school. The chimp boy was home school because of this. When he went to school one day, he ended up biting a boy, or being accused of this, because of this his serogate mother was called and he was removed.

When the introduction of a species to another must be handled very delicately. Meaning you cannot force similar relations. In essence they have to occur spontaneously. If and when they occur properly they have a greater possibility of success. After all, aren't familiar relations  a spontaneous response to begin with? How can you constructs and organize a spontaneous response.

Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter

This novel is by Seth Green. He wrote Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. It had 396 pages. Within those pages are three parts: when he was a boy, when he was mainly a.vampire hunter, and when he was the President of the United States. He had two major loves Anne and Mary-Todd.

BOY

Lincoln killed his first vampire at 7. He then went without food for the next two weeks as his family ate the kill.  Abe had a brother who died a month after birth. His mother taught him to read despite his fathers objection. He and his father, Thomas, were both good storytellers. Thomas was considered the best carpenter so work was easy to find. He made a tiny one room schoolhouse, which Abe attended. He only attended school for a year total, though.

His mother died when he was nine. Thomas got married a year later. His new wife encouraged Abe to read as well even though she was illiterate. On Abe's 11th birthday Sarah got him a journal.
Abe's father watched his dad die before his 21st.birthday, by a vampire and his mother also. This caused Abe to want to kill every vampire in America. Sarah liked how Abe read. She adored him. Abe burnt the family bible out of anger for God to create vampires. Abe was now obsessed with the killing of vampires. Abe had a son Robert.

Abe stayed up entire night on his search for vampires. Abe found a woman vampire with a child. The woman almost killed Abe, he was saved by a rope boat that dragged her away, he was unconscious after that. He awoke with Henry Stuffed, who had rescued him, and asked immediately about the boy, who was safe now.
His belonging which Abe lost were rescued.

Abe asked why he didn't kill him. Henry responded with "are vampires not individuals." He was obsessed with searching for the source.Only those Vampires possessing the strongest will, survive past the fourth century not bored. Henry taught Abe how to hunt vampires.

By the nineteenth year of his life, Abe had filled his journal. He then meets Edger Allen Poe who he mistakes for  for a vampire because of his black dressings. Poe met his first vampire when he was writing.

PART II
Vampire Hunter

He was introduced to Graham Offutt, who was a schoolteacher and shared Abe's love for books.
Graham proofread and corrected Abe's writing.
Abe vampire hunting stopped for the time being until he was stopped by a vampire. Jack wanted to know all that Abe know about killing vampires.
Abe lost his job due to a store opening closer to the river. He continues to train Jack.

Abe was elected to serve captain of his platoon against the Indians. He led a person who played an important role in his political career, John Todd Stuart, the cousin of his to be wife. 23 votes separated him from a seat in Congress. He set out to run a profitable store in New Salem. His store closed with a $200 dollar dept. He was elected to Illinois State Legislators on August 4, 1834. He fell madly in love with Ann Mayest Rutledge, that year as well, Abe was talking about love so much.

Jack killed a vampire, he really beat him, pretending it was Abe. They were parted by his Legislative responsibilities, though, after that he rushed back to her. John MacNamer posed the only real threat to their happiness, because he asked for her hand already. Ann died, when John came and visited her.Just like Abe's mother, she died by a vampire.

Abe wrote Henry and asked him to kill John. For the next few days Abe was stripped of all his weapons for fear of him killing himself. He almost killed himself with a rifle his friends forgot but at the last moment did not. Henry offered Abe to bring her back, he refused because it would not be the same.

Henry then captured John, the person who killed Ann, and offered Abe to take his vampirous life.
Henry killed Ann. It took Abe a while to get over her death. He won't help others because there was no profit in it. Abe now was a legislature, so his vampire huntings were left when he traveled from town to town with his fellow judges. Lincoln was fighting Elizabeth Schildhaus.

He killed her by use of fire. He used to set vampire houses on fire in mid day and they would either burn by flame or light. He thought less of Anne Rutledge for his legislature duties in the day and his hunting of vampires at night. Stuart introduced his sister Mary Todd, to Lincoln. They both lost their mothers early in their life. She and Abe were engaged in 1820. Mary Todds father had slaves for his mansion. He got her fathers permission.

He broke off the engagement with Mary. He went to Lexington and saw tons of slaves. In the house in Lexington his nightmares were no more. The sight of slaves make him sick. Speed didn't mourn his fathers death because of what he did for slave and vampires. A vampire was fighting with Speed

Abe saved him. Abe got married to Mary Todd. They had a son, Robert. In 1843 he hung up his hunting of vampires and won state legislature. A vampire, Armstrong, was teaching anatomy. Abe was told of a Dr Joseph McDowells laboratory with humans waiting to be harvested on shelves.
Jack ruined the lab with a gun shot through the tombs.

On August 3, 1846, Abe was elected to the House. He arrived in DC in December of the following year. Had a son Edward Baker in March.of 1846.Washington DC wasn't completed when he took office or in his lifetime. He didn't like the abundance of slaves in DC. Abe introduced a bill to end slavery that never past. There was so much talk of vampires within DC.

Abe had a dream of his house being robed and vampires killing his son. Vampires seemed freedom in Europe so they came to America.America let the vampire consentration out of Europe. Abe didn't run for congress after his term

Both his boys were killed. Mary-Todd didn't know about vampires or that her husband killed them. Abe had another son, William. In 1857, Abe survived his first assination attempt. Abe dreamt he was at a play of Macbeth, and the friends he went with and his wife died.  His voyage to the White House began February 11, 1861.

Just a month after election South Dakota suceeded. Three days Abe left, the south made a Constitution. On March 4, 1861 he was sworn in.
The first shot of the war was on April 11, 1861. Vampires were fighting with the South. Lincolns son, Willie, got sick because he was bitten, his father saw that he was cared for by the best doctors, he died. Lincoln wanted to strike God down because he took his son.

Mary mourned her son for a very long time. After Gettysburg, Lemon resigned his position as Abe's vampire bodyguard. When Abe began his second term the war was almost over. April 9, 1865 the war officially ended. Vampires moved to South America, Europe and the Orient. John Wilkes Booth was a vampire. John was a very emotional actor, he had outburst. His first shot didn't kill Abe. He died two days later

Memory Thief

By Rachel Keener

Memory often slips away with age or certain injuries. Sometimes it is so well covered up, that it seems to be lost, until something, anything small happens to remind you of the event that is hidden from the light. This book is about a troubled adopted baby and her life to the finding of her mom. Within its three parts and its three hundred sixty five pages, it really shows you how many problems a child has, let alone just being adopted. From a lousy home life to looking forward to school simply because of the free lunches, this really makes you think about what being human really entails.

PART 1
Hannahs family was religious. Hannah had an adopted sister named Bethlehem Rose. Everyone called Bethlehem Bethie for short. Hannah was six months older than Bethie, and she was a genius in school. Bethie, on the other hand, didn't talk until she was six. She went to speech classes because of this. She also learned sign language.

Hannah wanted a job in a kitchen. Her mother told her she would have to go to church because of this. Her job was in the kitchen doing odds and ends. She took Bethie with her. At church she saw Cora, a girl she worked with at the Steampot, and she and Bethie ran out.

When both sisters arrived home, their mother made a picnic and they went to the beach. Her mother than told her she wanted her to marry and have children. Her father promised her she would go to college. Her mother greatly objected. Hannah received books from her father encouraging her to think while Bethie only got knitting kits from her mother.

Hannah's father told her about her about Aunt Leah, who was outcasted from the family because she had gotten divorced two times by the time she was 30. She always made a scene when she was with the family. Hannahs mother feared she would end up like her.

Hannah liked Sam, the Steampots delivery boy. She went on his boat after work; and went to an old house.

PART 2
The Swarm's owned a farm. They would help Janie's family by letting them stay at Black Snake Trailer for free. Janie would sometimes go to school unshowered, because they were that poor.

They were so down that their dinner usually comprised of table scraps from the Swarms. They forgot how to eat real food. Janie had an adopted sister, Angel. She was adopted at six months by the family. Janie taught Angel to drink, dance sexy, steal and prostitute herself.

Mr. Swarm, the person who owned the farm where they were living died. Their father left. Their mom remarried and left. Angel burnt the camper and their was nothing left of their previous life. Angel got a job at Biscuits and Things, a local restaurant. She was barely living off chips an coke. She looked like a ghost.

PART 3
Hannah went to the house where she and Sam where supposed to docs up and move in to. She saw a spirit of a mother combing her daughters hair and then the girl having her period.

Then Hannahs  father ambushed her and brought her home. Mother found her lying on the bed where her father put her. She was pregnant. Mother blamed it on father because he introduced her to new thoughts in those books. She wanted to leave the church and have the child.

She took a bath and almost drowned in the water. Her sister, Bethie, saved her. They gave the baby away.

Mother opened up the house which was a perfect distraction for the family.  Her father got her a green bike just like she had when she worked. However, she wouldn't ride it because of the memories attached.

Hannah was was taking a pottery class and was good. Her father built a work room for her. She was using the pottery as an outlet for losing her baby. She started selling her peices. She met Daniel who was not only interested in her peices but in her as well. Daniel visited the hotel where Hannah lived, and  watched her create another plate to complete her mothers set.

Sam had boyish good looks
Daniel was more manly. Daniel asked for Hannahs hand in marriage. Hannah made the dishes for her wedding. Her mom made her dress.

Bethie started talking and worked at a hospital. Hannah and Daniel got a house and were trying to get pregnant. Hannah saw a doctor and found she couldn't conceive
Daniel hired Hannah as a secartary to distract her from this. Her art was suffering.

A person with a child called them for an adoption. But the family wound up keeping the baby. Daniel asked Hannah's mom if she knew who called about the baby

PART 4
Angel was found freezing in the woods and almost died.
She was brought to a hospital as a missing person. Someone came into her room and offered her room and board for work. She was brought to a mansion overlooking her fields.  She wasn't used to this rich living. She got a mysterious letter after talking with the owners wife. Angels mom tried to give her to the preachers wife, but she was having her own baby. Angel was born with twisted legs, early and very thin. The woman who owned the house was Angels grandma.

She was.going to leave with $25,000. Angel remembered her father shooting her sisters, Janes dog, because she took some of his secret candy. Jane hit her daddy because of this so hard he fell over. This caused her to never go back to school in fear of what her father would do. Angel never left the hotel. Angel never left the hotel and was in solitary confinement with food delivered.

Bethie still remembered Hannah. Bethie was pregnant and Hannah threw up and went crazy when she told.
Hannah was locked up in an insane asylum. Bethie had a son and named him Corbin.Bethie got pregnant again.

She missed her sister. Bethie went to the hospital visiting her sister. Hannah's mental state may have been  worsened when her parents forced her to give up the baby.
She had a major breakthrough when a chair was placed in her room. Hannah calls the doctors "Legion" from the Bible meaning many. Hannah never looked at Bethie while she was in the hospital, because she believed the doctors told her not to.

Angel woke up in a hospital bound to a bed. The old woman turns out to be Angels grandma. She is trying to reunite the family. Angles real name is Lily Adams. Angel turns out to be Hannahs daughter.

It took Angel a month to make a story about her childhood to tell Hannah. Bethie screamed "she's your miracle." Hannah found that Daniel knew about the baby she gave up.

Daniel and Bethie rescued Angel from the hospital. Daniel told Angel a story
Hannah grew roses, every day picked some and put them out in the house, one day there was a bad storm, but this didn't stop Hannah from picking the rose stems the storm left, when Daniel inquired why, she responded they were still roses even without their petals. The old women came to their house in morning.

Moby Dick

Aka White Whale
By Herman Melville

The sea is a majestic entity. That which the Greeks gave a separate God to is unique and awe-inspiring. Some see it as life eternal and others a mere entity, however no one has a greater respect for it than the people who sail on the great waves. No passenger has enjoyed it as much as Ishmael, or so it is said. He always goes to sea as a sailor. Sailors always get paid, the amount is dependant on what they do, of course. However the hardest job is of being a captain, for the mere fact of keeping track of the finances.

The monstereosous whale peaked his curiosity because his power was unmatched by any other living thing. He was more powerful than Alexander the Great who was one of the mightiest emperor's in known history. He owned the sea as Alexander owned Persian Empire.

Captain Peleg who preceded Captain Ahab was obsessed with the boat. As it was being repaired from a recent whaling expedition he hadn't left it, to make sure it all was going well.

Whaling vessels are more likely of accidents then any other ship. It has extras of all exept the captain or the crew.

Ahab had a sister. Her name was Charity. She was extremely charitable with the crew. She brought them all they needed and desired.

Ahab is known as "Old Thunder." He's the captain of the Pequad. His first mention is of him being sick. He is first mentioned losing a leg on a whaling expedition. He got injured off the Cape of Good Horn, which is off Africa. He is known to be a good whale hunter as well as captain.

Starbuck was Ahabs first officer. He was a very tough man. His skin was very tough, both physically as well as emotionally. His skin was baked from the sun, even though he grew up in the cold parts. He was not afraid to go whaling and did not fear the legend of Moby Dick. Courage was as much a way of life for him, as a useful essence to be used.

Whalemen have royal blood within their veins. For the whale is said to be a royal fish. The dignity in whaling is great. Men have devoted their entire life to this. There is said to be a man who took 350 whales in his life.

Ahab was a superstitious man from his intellect of the sea. Starbuck would not have a man, especially a captain, who wasn't afraid of a whale; for the best courage is not the absence of fear but the knowledge that something's greater than your fear. This courage was in rare supply, and not to be wasted foolishly. Starbuck thought this was a great staple of not only fishery, but life itself.

Starbuck had lost his brother and father. These events gave him even more courage. His bravery was truly intrepid. These aspects help him in his fishery because his strength gave him drive as well as risk taking ability which surpassed others by far.

Stubbs was the second mate. He was happy taking life as it unfolded. He thought their is no telling when death will come, so live life as you were going to. His pipe also helped him cope. At night when the moon was up he was known to smoke them all in succession. When he got dressed in the morning, he first put a pipe in his mouth.</p>
<p>The third mate was Flask. He had an honourable personality. He saw no danger until encountering it. He thought the whale to be a great mouse or of equal size. The only trouble the whale was to him was in boiling it when it was caught. He was a fun loving sailor and hunter.Starbuck, Stubbs, and Flask were some of the greatest men. Ahab used them as such. Next there was Tashtego. He was of Indian decent. Dagoo was third. He was of Indian decent. Dagoo was third, coal black in appearance, barbac virtues to match.

Within society whaling was seen as a joke. It was thought that this was equal to butchering. These folks are butchers, but butchers of the most gruesome sorts. The pay wasn't great, but they adored it. Whaling has lasted throughout all history. The ships contribute $7,000,000 to society.

Whaleships brought enlightenment throughout the world, much like Yale and Harvard University. They also saved many regions from starvation, by supplying whale meat to them. The whale is known as the "Royal fish" by some, which further implies that their captures are of royal decent.

Uugo was an huge African man. He had two gold earrings. The other sailors joked about hanging the sails from them.

Moby Dick was a sperm whale, they are the most hunted because of it not being to big. It was known by a variety of name's. Some of which were the Tramps whale, the Physeter whale, the Anvil Headed whale and the Whale bone whale. Moby Dick was thought to be the largest creature, whereas the Blue Whale now is known as the largest creature. This whale was discovered in 1692, by Sibbald.

The sperm whale is the largest toothed whale. This whale has the largest brain. It is approximately 67 feet long, a third of which is its head. It is known as the deepest diving whale. It produces the loudest sound as well.

Ahab was obsessed with Moby Dick from the beginning of the trip. He was so obsessed some called him a raving lunatic. His shipmates were forced to put a straight jacket on him, as they voyages home. However, peculiar as it may be his senses returned to normal after a certain distance. When they returned to Nantucket to have some time to relax, it was questioned if Ahab should return to sea with them. But being that he was most fit to command a whaling ship, he did return.

Ahab didn't want to board another whaling vessal, because he believed that could effect his whaling. He was superstitious like this, as of other things as well. This meeting was referred to as GAM. It was said that such a meeting of captains could actually jinx the voyage and the whaling of both vassals.

Misspent Youth

What if you found the fountain of youth? What side effects would that have on society as a whole and you? Well in this story, Jeff Baker, is the scientist who found this. He is in a nine month coma to have this work. We are brought in to the story when Jeff is going through this long transformation. It takes place in England around the 23 century.

Jeff is divorced and has a son Tim, and elderly mother-in-law, who has dementia and is in a nursing home.

When Jeff came out he was in his 20's. The treatment was new and expensive, simply because it was just created.

This treatment worked great at first. But society being the way it is, it is not that ready for a regressive aged man. In addition to that Jeff made some pretty grave errors.

One was sleeping with his new wife, which was forbidden according to their pre-nuptial agreement. Even though it was the most passionate night of her life they broke. All his new wife was responsible for according to the agreement was the raising of Tim.

They had many function to attend in honor of this breakthrough. Unfortunately this came at the price of his sons respect, because Jeff was sleeping around. He slept with a friend of his daughter after one of these functions. If that wasn't bad enough he stole Annibelle, Tim's girlfriend.

Beyond Infinity

Cley, the main character, lived in the natural world. She was the last Original human left. She belonged to an Ur-human group. She brought snobbery back into existence for the simple fact of her insulted all she knew and was insulted as well.

Cley’s father had vanished from her life when she was only three years old. Occasionally new men joined her Meta, which got her to wonder if they were her father. Men were only allowed in to show what they were like. Stigma males were a race of males that went nude and had their genitalia on the inside.

Time bending was a skill that was essential to all human kind. To manipulate time was an important skill to have, because then you had the power to live the best way that you could. That amongst other skills made their life spans exceed billions of years. In certain societies eons, enough to make people get bored of life.

Individuals used their eyes to communicate mostly. Language was became a rarity. Cultures were of little to no importance. Love still had its mystical effect even though without language it did not make it impossible to communicate as you would think. Love as always makes us all naked and still did. Love to Clay is total completion.

In their travels they came to a woman who could communicate telepathically with Cley, her name was Keta, a sub-breed, and her kind linked together much like the founders on StarTrek Deep Space Nine. However telepathy killed the Ur-humans as well as Keta.

They were searching for survivors in this Library of Life after an intergalactic war and the Supras broke out in dance for a day in a half just to diffuse the tension. They also prepared a party, to do the same.

Cley and her guide known as the Seeker, found a subway through the universe; just before seeker got up traveled to another dimension and the returned.

The Library of Knowledge was able to fast forward history, as well as cross-correlate over spans of time and zoom in on specific events in those times. It had a record of all human events. The Supras created a forcefield to protect the library while it was repairing itself from the war.

The earth was a desert which was created by the ozone; however it still supported human life. Earth was far more precious to the galactic empire that existed in this and other dimensions. Plants could socialize with themselves. The Supras or Supreme humans were redeveloping the lands that their human ancestors exhausted. Seeker and Cley were traveling on a creature known as a Pinwheel, which was made of Carbon Fibers which regrew daily, meaning it was alive. This creature had the possibility of traveling through other unknown dimensions. There were a known 7 dimensions now.

Pinwheel was forever moving and forever growing making it the most intelligent living entity. The “quickening” was the time abilities exceeded beyond ordinary perception. Pinwheel is the transportation of people and cargo through space. Cley was used as a model to create new humans.

The Malign caused humanity to give up its analytical perspective because they would sense this and strike the humans. The Multifold guarded the humans from the Malign.

He fell in love with a girl, who played the violin. He made a promise to her that if he came to her recital, she would go to the Karate tournament. He won the tournament.

What Animated Movies Can Teach Us About Hope, Courage, and Love

By Paul Asay

Before we told stories through novels or sitcoms, we sketched our lives on stone columns and cave walls. For centuries, it was how society taught its truths and delivered its lessons. The pictures we made were extensions of us in an almost magical way.

For over 70 years—-most recently with the release of "Shrek Forever After"—we've experienced a bit of that magic through full-length animated films. Whether they're drawn by hand, crafted by computer, or shaped through stop-action, these movies charm us, inspire us, and teach us lessons in ways that live-action films—-limited by the pesky shackles of reality—-sometimes struggle to do. From Disney's beautiful classics of yesteryear to today's CGI masterpieces, animation in many ways represents cinematic storytelling at its best: Few other art forms can bridge generational differences and inspire young and old with timeless lessons of hope, courage, and love.

America

The children living in the streets is a horrible thing.  However it is a difficult dilemma to fix, that needs much more tenderness than is given. Everyone has their own pain to deal with, this movie illustrates it well.

Q

The medical field could be as vicious as any other field. This movie really says that plus many other facts.

Denzel Washington stars in thrilling, suspenseful, dramatic story about a father’s lethal struggle to get his son to have a life saving operation. He and his wife are regular citizens with a son who needs an expensive operation. The father is eventually driven insane and holds a hospital at gunpoint to re take the control to the patients.

A child dies from lack of attention in the hospital. John's wife witnessed this and was very saddened by this because her husband’s quest, even though extremely honorable, has dramatic effect that cost the life of someone’s girl. This shows so much intense emotions.
This uncovers a lot of unethical qualities. Ethics change constantly. Everything has to change with it. It even deals with truth in a straightforward way. They talk about telling John that his son is on the list to go to heart surgery.
He is a very spiritual man, his wife says he is sweet and gentle and then they tell the lie that the son is on the list of the heart recipients.

Superman Returns

This movie was actually good, however it could have been a tad more exciting and suspenseful. After the last Superman adventure, Superman apparently went back to Krypton to see if anyone survived. This took him about ten years.

Superman returned to find the world under the most sinister evil. This evil was the disbelief that evil actually existed. So it had full control over the earth, since it was ignored. It was being ignored probably because people didn’t feel they had power over it.

Worse than that, Lex Luther, found Superman’s fortress of solitude in the North Pole.

March of the Penguins

March of the Penguins is a year in the life of the Penguin. 9 months of people being self-sufficient and contained in the Antarctic continent. Being that isolated is chilling, so to speak, you can and must take care of yourself or the temperatures will take your life.

Emperor Penguins are so beautiful and truly regal. They are such a great traveler and have such an orderly life, however this doesn't prevent the loss of life.

The Emperor penguins have a life expectancy of 20 years. They survive the cold cruel winters of Antarctica with a warm enthusiasm that makes their life wondrously magnificent. Their travels are filled with warmth and love in this cold white wonderland of ice and snow.

The wondrous scene of the snow is magnanimous in the cold. Life survives even in the cold. The magnanimous nature is due to the resistance and the fighting against the loss of life itself.

Deep Blue Sea

Deep Blue Sea is a movie about finding a cure for Alzheimer's by increasing the increasing the Great White Sharks Brain Mass. Of course when they played with the sharks they were demolished. A little like Jurassic Park. The main difference was it being an undersea adaptation.

It is a film that shows the efforts of survival we maintain for all. The caring devotion is unrenowned within the human spirit. At times it may seem invisible; however it always is in existence. In loving people you may be hurting them by their living in agony. Is it worth the price? Adventures have an extremely variety of weight and gains.

Life is about finding the impossible. As well as defining yourself by it. It is not about the recognition you receive after completion, it is about the journey and what stops you make on the way.

Hotel For Dogs

Dogs all have different skills which are very much portrayed in this movie. The main focus of this movie is the harmonization of man and dogs. The movie thus portrays the life of a dog who needs a real home and real family, who with help from the children team up and get an abandoned theater to become a hotel for the dogs in the neighborhood.

Then takes on mysterious qualities like 101 Delimitation

Disbelief plays a role in the making of the hotel for there is a cutie that is chased by one girl and another girl want him and meanwhile they're maintaining their hotel when they get another dog they get more help so they start this dog freedom brigade and then rescue a whole bunch more dogs Lady and The Tramp is portrayed in this movie

They eat with the dogs and all and the teens go to a party leaving the little one to fend for himself, however everything goes awry however the youngest tries to save the day with their adopted parents stuff however the cops are called by someone and the responsible adults fall it dog shit which the dogs to go to the pound and the brother and sister to almost be separated and the dogs to go to the pound but Friday does free them all with the help of the case manager reunites them all and help rebuild the hotel for dogs they have to get them out of the county the kids reunite all the dogs and cause havoc in the pound and lead the dogs to a miraculous victory despite the obstacles this movie puts all animal as well as children movies together as well as uniting society with animals and all got their rewards this movie proves public opinion wins out over common greed throughout.

Earth

A year in the life of the Earth was a documentary by Morgan Freeman. It started in the life at the poles. It shows us the great circle of life.

It shows us how every animal survives more similarly, than different. That is except for us.
Earth is so beautiful, and should always be celebrated by us all. Nature should be improved upon and not destroyed. It's the great unending cycle of water an animal life, which for generations have made this earth a magnificent site of life.

This shows us the wondrous aspects of nature. Through it all life does and shall always survive. It is our inborn knowledge that life always finds a way. All animals communicate, perhaps we cannot understand this way of communication, but they do nevertheless.

The earth is a magnificent place to live. It has the only known life. However there has to be more life, because there are so many stars in the universe, perhaps the omniverse.

The beauty of earth is so incomprehensible, it has to be cherished and not destroyed.

Children are the hope of the future. Sometimes the struggles of life are what make it worthwhile to exist. Survival is entirely of the fittest. The fittest of all the species of earth shall survive.

Good Will Hunting

Where there's a will there's a will. Everyone is right, from their own standpoint, which is why tolerance is so relevant. We all have our own point of view. It’s precise and optimal to think before we act. You are always present in the here and now so we could conceive as well as recive information.

Tolerance is always of relevance. It is an issue that pre-dates everything. Even animals are conscious of this issue.

Through the entire problem in the world, we have to practice toleration. Even if confusion sets in we always need to tolerate it somehow.

Curious Case of Benjamin Button

This movie was great. It was with Brad Pitt. He was a man with an age deformity. When he was born he was all wrinkled and old, and as he aged he got younger. It reminded me of the Titanic a little.

Benjamin was very optimistic throughout his life, which probably led him to his great life. He found a few loves. He married one. He was on a tugboat also. Also he was a soldier in WWII.

Throughout it all he had his optimistic hope which helped him greatly. His mother died when she gave birth to him. His father left him on some steps to a retirement home, tracked him down a few years later and was scarcely in his life, but made an attempt to be in his life.

The story reminded me of my life. The fact that Benjamin was so optimistic throughout his life kept him going. Through all obstacles he had he just kept going. He never let anything get him down. He always was having fun in his life with whatever he had. He persevered confidently throughout life backwards in age only.

Black Hole

Mathematical and space travel are put together in this magical Disney way that is uniquely fu and humanitarian. A black hole is the most destructive force in the universe. This is a well known fact. However this dramatic movie is all based around that fact.

Theoretical research plays an important role, but is brought up from a child’s perspective. Disappearance through space and time are widely noted throughout this movie proving a black hole could take on the earth as well as the universe as a whole.

Through its theatrical, suspenseful and scientifically sound story line. It proves that everything as well as everyone is necessary in life, although the circumstances may vary intensely.

“There are old pilots and there are and bold pilots, but there are few old and bold pilots.” Love leads us to greatness, as well as confusion. However the greater the love, the greater: the respect as well as the triumph.

Suspicion leads to greatness as well as well as mystery also. Perfection is getting more difficult to receive because of the obstacles. We shall get through everything and win life’s greatest prize of more life. These obstacles lead us all to greatness even though temporally it isn’t clear. But if you view them in an optimistic light, you will see the magnificence of them.

This movie could be the end of everything that we know, but it is not. Discovery and familiarity play a deep role in the story. Mysteriously the crew of the spacecraft makes friends in space. However they discover that the returns they receive although friendly are full of drama as well. This shows friendship is a lasting attribute as in all space and time.

The end always justifies the means. Temporally meaning you should always keep the hope alive, however interpretational that may sound. Rationality is all hope need to exist as well as can always destroy it. That is if not balanced so delicately with hope or love.

If anything that is what black holes may actually teach us? The closer we get to perfection, the more knowledge is not balanced by an emotional state. The scarier the reality unravels as it stays in constant motion. That is only if we are confused and we are not prepared for this state of fear and panic.

“A wolf remains a wolf even though it has not eaten your sheep.” True direction is always relevant although uneasy times can be of danger as well as of greatness. This, if anything makes the mysteriousness of black holes even greater, leading to the unconquered realm of curiosity.

Pride has positives and negatives. However; those judgments’ are always circumstantial. Eccentricity has its limits as well as suspicions. The greatness of the unknown is the cause of the black hole both in ourselves; and in spacial harmonics. Thus leading to the miscommunication of the world which cause conflict on a vast scale.

Both order and protocols are humorous forms of seriousness in striving for the truth. But their necessity is inter-dir What if you knew something, however no one ever listened to you, except one person. You have so much to deal with every day that it is extremely difficult to keep secrets.

However hard you try the secret has exploded in your face. No matter who you turn to it seems that everyone wants to control something different about you until you let someone know what happened to you, that you needed some help, however you were to scared to ask for it. So you try to take everything on yourself and over organize yourself because of the secret you keep in your consciousness.

The only thing is the longer it stays bottled up, the worse it gets as problems tend to do. Until you uncover it and let it go free. This may help it more than anything else. Inner examination more than anything which leads us to the greatest unknown of it all which is how life is possible. Mysteries lead to more mysteries however the quest for knowledge is the most mysterious of all.

Possibilities of impossibilities are the greatest achievement of all. However knowledge throughout life is the greatest truth of all. All we need to abide by is our knowledge as well as our emotional level as well as our needs.

Wondrous theories will come as well as go throughout all causes over and above all effects. Throughout history our gifts in addition to our instincts for life have balanced. With the fact of what reality had entailed for us to go through.

Humanities essence has stayed together as well as we should through all of time. This should be in combination of communication as well as action.

This possibly will lead to greatness as well as tragedy. It remains a question as well as a belief through all time. In essence it is the human mission to find this out.

Bedtime Stories

This was a fun story, with a humorously serious twist. It started with a bed and breakfast, where the owner let his children work in it.

He had an imaginative son, as well as a book smart daughter. The son was very imaginative and hopeful always pushing the limits. Once the son grew up he worked as a custodian in the hotel. The new owner got sick.

Then the son thought he would be a shoe in for the job as owner of the hotel franchise, but the story take an unexpected twist. The son has to prove himself to the new owner and in a miraculous attempt does. He even affects the world because the hotel chain grew that much.
The story showed me through hard work you get somewhere. However with a little imagination and hard work you could get to the top.
